  Stayed for 2 nights in October. My second floor room was really nice and very clean. Good location in Maggie Valley right next to a sports bar with good food. Staff at front desk very friendly and helpful. This is where I will stay when I get back to Maggie Valley.

  Great location with an amazing view. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Even though it is off season we were still shown great hospitality and appreciation.

  So they charged me a $25 nonrefundable pet deposit. In addition to the pet deposit I noticed a $80 charge for 2 soiled(not stained) towels and soiled (not stained) bed sheets. The soiled towels were the ones that goes on the floor when stepping out of the shower. My dog jumped on the bed after he had been outside and left several paw prints. These paw prints and soiled towels will easily wash in the machine. If they have to wash bed linens and towels between guest stays anyway, why was I charged the additional cleaning fee on top on the $25. The room and hotel were great. The breakfast had extremely poor quality food and was nasty. I hope the $80 charge makes Best Western happy because I'll never stay there again. This place looks for every opportunity to charge your credit card. Knowing that the customer is powerless to do anything, this Best Western will charge your credit card so be on the lookout. The photos that Best Western emailed me only adds to my case. Everything in the photos can be washed and should be washed anyway when guests checkout. This is nothing more than a scam. I wondered why they wouldn't take cash when I checked in and now I know. The cleaning crew did not have to do anything more than they normally do but I was charged $80. I hope nobody ever stays there. I will no longer be staying at this Best Western. Sleeping in my car in a rest area would have been a better option. I was quoted $112 tax included for the room and $25 non refundable pet deposit. My total charge was $224.29.

  Stayed for 2 nights while skiing at Cataloochee. Room was not ready when we arrived....we were early...lol They did have it ready by the scheduled time of 3:00 pm, barely. Room was clean, with all amenities as advertised. Refrigerator does not have a freezer area. Phone did not work, but was fixed right away. Hair dryer did not work, but they brought us another right away. Reached for a Kleenex, and the chrome cover fell off. Hot tub was out of service. Never found the "designated smoking area". Was told to smoke anywhere, at least 8 feet from the building. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choices, and the dining area was kept clean between use. Staff was very personable, and willing to help as needed. Understanding this is not a 4 or 5 star facility, however, maintenance needs a little attention.

  Such a nice location. Staff members were so nice & breakfast was delicious! We will be back :-)
