The front desk clerk never left her chair. It wasn’t a wheelchair. The checkin process was slow. Worst desk clerk I’ve experienced in a decade. Garbage. She socialized with a woman instead of checking her in while three groups were waiting. I felt we were an inconvenience to her.
Another guest and I told her how strongly we smelled a natural gas leak at the front door and she didn’t have a care in the world.
Midway through registering us, she stopped cold turkey and started talking on her call phone without a “pardon me” or acknowledgement.
She handed my wife and I one room card. Nobody ever does that. I had to ask for a second card. She didn’t discuss breakfast hours, our points or dollar preference, or even how to use WiFi.
Don’t you people have any pride at this hotel? I’ve stayed here a dozen times over the years. It’s horrific now.

During my recent overnight stay, I can confirm that southern hospitality is not a forgotten approach for a wonderful guest experience. I specifically want to call out Ayauna Morton who drove me from the aiport to the hotel and also made certain that I felt welcome through my whole check in experience. Thank you so much for the kindness!

Would not recommend this hotel! Very worn out. Poor staff. Even though we booked a rate to include breakfast, they did not put out breakfast both days we were there because quote “low occupancy”. So the did not honor the rate in my opinion. Complained to front desk they were like yeah oh well. Essentially stealing money from me. Also near an active railroad tracks so 2.30am trains come by loudly. Numerous better options. I have stayed at dozens of Hilton Gardens worst one I ever experienced.
