Serviceable, but really not great. Nice lobby. Cracked, chipped elevator floor. Some stains on the comforter & bathroom counter where someone tried to clean, but surrendered.

I recently stayed here for a surgery at Duke eye center. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone that needs a place to stay in the area. Top notch in every way but the staff is really the crown jewel at this Hilton. They treat every guest like royalty. If I ever need to stay in Durham in the future I wouldnt even look around I would just book my stay at this Hilton. Thank you to every member of the staff for the fantastic stay.

The hotel is nice. The service at the front desk was amazing. The bar and restaurant service was also great. Our room could have been a little better. There was some hair in the shower on the wall and also the conditioner bottle. I know if I would have notified the front desk, they would have taken care of it immediately. But we were only there one night. The fridge also didn’t cool too well. I am not sure if that was normal or it just wasn’t working well. Again, we were only there one night after the Duke game, so it was perfectly fine for us.

I book my reservations through Booking. Com. The price was reasonable. The room was big and spacious and the location was good, right off route 85. My only complaint is about the front desk receptionist named Serena. At the arrival She was busy chatting with other employees and I had to wait. When I got my bill and it was emailed to me, I called to ask why I was charged extra fees. She said she can’t access past invoices. I was surprised because I just left the hotel 5 hours ago. She told me to call help support number but it was impossible to get to a human to resolve the problem. After several unsuccessful attempts, I called back hoping not to get Serena and I was in luck. I got Adrian and she went over my chargers and said that it was an error and it will be corrected. I was so appreciative especially after a long drive back home. She made all the difference. Was Serena just incompetent or didn’t want to deal with this? One kind person made your day better and it was not Serena. Thank you, Adrian!

I stay at this hotel when I have an appointment at Duke University Hospital. I have never had an issue with my stay until this morning. When I woke up I saw an attempted charged of 4.08 on my debit card because I get alerts from my bank. I figured it was for the food I had the night prior. I always tip the server $10 when I eat there so after the cost of the food and my tip it was about $54.08. The hotel charges a $50 incidental. My room cost was $115.00 So, before I checked out I was going to go downstairs and pay the $4.08. Then after I showered I looked at my emails and saw I had an attempted charge of $50 and $100. So at this point I’m confused. I pack my things and head to the front desk. I immediately asked to speak to a manager and one was available so I began to explain to the girl at the front desk that I paid for my room and why am I being charged again. She I never paid for my room and it was only an authorization. I said yes, I paid for my room and I explained to her that I probably owe $4.08 for an overage that my incidental didn’t cover. Then she says no There is no overage the system is trying to settle the account. Holding money then trying to authorize it again without my authorization is fraud. She is clearly incompetent and doesn’t understand anything. So after back and forth I told her I would just contact corporate to deal with this, so as I walked out the door she yells and says I will be put on the DNR, because I didn’t want continue to go back and forth with someone who lack clear comprehension.
