Had a reservation here... or thought I did... on November 11, 2025. I made the reservation with their sales person, since that was who I signed a rate agreement with and no one else had any clue about the rate agreement I had signed and turned in weeks earlier. I never received an email confirmation so I called the hotel yesterday evening to make sure they had my reservation, and am I glad I did... because they DIDN'T. I asked about speaking to the sales person, and the front desk transferred me to them. Their answering service was full and could not accept any more messages (I'm in sales too, and I'd be fired for that alone). So I called corporate. Corporate was no help, as they had no clue about my rate agreement or previously made reservation either. I called the hotel back to try to speak to the sales person again, and the front desk advised me that they were "in a meeting and could not be disturbed"... EXCUSE ME??? This person failed to follow through on a promise to a customer (me) and left that customer stranded in a city hundreds of miles form home with no reservation! The hotel is nice, and it's in a great location. But neither I nor my offices here in Charlotte will be using this location again, and as a Diamond Elite member, I strongly recommend that you find another hotel to stay in because if they'll do this to me, a regular with a lot of stays here and their most elite status as a loyal customer, they won't think twice about doing it to you. I plan to contact the management of this hotel and explain the situation, and their desperate need for mature, competent staff to run their sales office. This experience is completely inexcusable and it has affected my relationship with the brand as a whole. IHG just ain't what it used to be, and as someone who spends a couple hundred nights a year in their hotels, their corporate folks aren't all that eager to help either. They must not need the business, and I am happy to oblige.

Arrived in town tonight to discover that the salesperson here neglected to book my room as promised. I have a negotiated rate signed with this hotel, but it isn’t worth it. No one’s heard of it at corporate, and no one can help me. I’m stuck here without a room. Reconsider any dealings with this hotel. I’m a diamond elite member and they dropped my reservation. They don’t want my business. And they don’t deserve yours, either.

I was a little disappointed with my most recent stay. I picked this hotel specifically because I've had good experiences there in the past. Most importantly, the room was clean, housekeeping was on point, and breakfast was decent. The parts I didn't like - the safe in my room wouldn't work. I requested that it be fixed 4 days in a row, and it never happened. When I expressed my frustration at the front desk on the 3rd day, the woman(she said she usually works overnight, but i didn't get her name) was absolutely no help at all, and had a really shitty attitude like I was doing something wrong by complaining. Same with the bathroom sink, it was draining very slowly, never got fixed after multiple requests. You should require the employees to wear name tags so that you can be told exactly who is giving horrible customer service.

I do NOT recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone that wants to feel safe while they sleep If are female alone do NOT stay here If you are a Veteran with PTSD do NOT stay here If you want to feel safe do NOT stay here If you are European and want to feel safe in America do NOT stay here ⭐ 1 Star I’m extremely disappointed and disturbed by my experience at this Holiday Inn. While I was asleep in my room, staff allowed another person to enter without my permission. This is a serious breach of privacy and safety. As a veteran living with PTSD, this incident was especially traumatizing and unacceptable. Guests should always feel secure in their rooms, and I did not. I expected better from Holiday Inn and hope they take immediate action to ensure this never happens to anyone I now have been retraumatized. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express on and base before and never felt unsafe. I have stayed at many hotel chains across America for 3 decades and NEVER EVER had anyone enter my room while I was asleep. Now i don't feel safe staying alone again. I don't know if the stranger was a guest or staff trying to enter my room to r-p- me. Thanks Holiday Inn for reterrorizing me once again.

Drove 11 1/2 hours to Charolette for a surprise birthday party and booked a 3 day 2 night stay. Parked my truck in the parking lot on friday morning 10/03/25 with no damage. Went back out to my truck Friday night around 830 pm and the truck again had no damage. Came out Saturday morning (10/04/25) and found this. Myself along with 6 other vehicles in the lot had been broken into and rifled through. Went to the front desk and spoke with a gentleman who claimed he was the manager on duty and explained that I needed the police to be called and security camera footage sent to me for my insurance. He was less than helpful. Barely wanted to the call the police and when I asked him what the next steps were in regards to how the hotel was going to handle this, he simply shrugged his shoulders and told me it was a police matter. When I again asked for the security camera footage he said he didn’t have access to it and that the general manager was the only one who had access to the cameras. When I asked him to get ahold of the general manager and to get her to come down to the hotel I was told “she’s managing a different property and can’t handle this matter”. I at that point asked for contact information for the general manager and again was told “I cannot give that information out, you have to contact corporate” At that point I gave up with speaking to him because he did not seam to care about hotel guests property getting broken into. Hours later after the police report was filed and insurance was contacted I spoke with a different person at the front desk by the name of “lyric” (I’m not sure how to spell her name lol) however she was sooooo sweet and compassionate and considerate of the situation we were in. She not only provided the general managers contact information but gave me the corporate phone number to call as well. Honestly, “lyric” should be the GM of this hotel because she handled everything so so well and was very helpful hours after the fact. Not to mention that she had no idea that 6 break ins had occurred overnight and she was willing to bend over backwards to get us situated. I was also informed that the GM of the hotel “Carmen Bryson” would be at the hotel at 10am Monday morning (10/06/25) I’ve attempted to call 4 times and left 3 voicemails with no phone call back or her answering the phone. At this point I’m going to call corporate to get some sort of compensation for the damages that occurred as there were no “hotel is not responsible for damages” signs posted anywhere. Will not be staying here again or any IHG hotels for that matter as it would appear they do not know how to run a business.
