While leaving the property with a friend, I witnessed a very disturbing incident involving a young woman and a hotel employee. Another guest’s dog charged at her dog, creating a highly stressful situation. Given the circumstances, the woman’s reaction was completely valid, she was clearly trying to protect herself and her dog.
Instead of de-escalating the situation, a male employee, who stated he was a manager, began following her, recording her on his phone, yelling, and threatening to have her trespassed. The woman was visibly shaken, crying, and clearly frightened. I spoke with her afterward and she remained extremely upset by the experience. The employee continued to chase her off the property while recording and making threats.
This incident also highlights a larger issue at this location: guests do not seem to have proper control of their dogs. There was dog waste scattered throughout the property, clearly indicating a lack of enforcement or accountability regarding pet policies.
After the incident, I re-entered the hotel and overheard employees speaking poorly about the woman within earshot of other guests, which was incredibly unprofessional and further concerning.
I frequently stay here with my own children given the location proximity to campus but based on what I witnessed, I would strongly caution against young women or daughters staying here alone. If this is how a manager handles a high-stress situation involving a frightened woman, it raises serious concerns about how other issues are managed, especially at a property frequented by college students. On a few of our visits here, we have also noticed an extreme smell of cigarettes from the employees and unhoused people walking around on the property screaming. We will pay more or travel further to visit any other hotel going forward.

The location was perfect for us. The staff, friendly. There was a great place to walk the dog. The rooms: sub par. We stayed in Room 128. The dust ruffle was on top of the bed as if it was a comforter. The bathroom light switches did not work properly.we kept having to remove the back of the toilet to get it to fill back up with water. And you can hear people above clear as day.

Honestly the room layouts are very nice but the walls are extremely thin as others have said. This came in play when the room next door was being very loud late at night and I could hear everything, waking me from sleep. Unfortunately if you think the staff can help with this, you would be wrong. I called the front desk at 11:30PM, 12:20AM, and finally at 1AM and each time they said they would give the offending room a call but the noise didn’t stop until like 2AM! Thin walls are one thing but weak enforcement of quiet hours are another. They never even bothers to check on the room in person. I would go somewhere else unless you like to party late at night.
