  I had a great experience at this Tru by Hilton. Josh was at the front desk when I checked in he was phenomenal!!! Josh was very polite and made check in quick and great. He was very attentive to my needs. I was addressed by my name when I came back into the lobby. He is an asset to the Tru hotel. Also, Mary was at the front desk later that day and she was excellent as well. She greeted me with a smile and was very helpful. These two made my stay a great experience.

  Floors are sticky 🤢 No closet. TWO HANGERS provided. Zero luggage racks, so I hope you don’t mind your bags lying on those sticky floors. Self check-in doesn’t work here, so there goes that feature. The “bath towels” are the size of washcloths. The water pressure is non-existent, so don’t expect to be able to rinse your hair. No extra blankets in the room. Between 1p and 3p, the entire staff just hangs out in the front lobby, doing nothing except talking to one another, ignoring guests, and playing on their phones. UPDATED TO ADD: they claim to have housekeeping service the rooms every two days - that is also a lie. Never again.

  The General Manager here harassed my wife and kids after we reported an incident involving a staff member at this hotel touching and putting an object in my infants mouth without consent after the staff member was already told not to touch or pick up my baby. The GM brushed off this incident as not a big deal, offered nothing in return, then had other staff members come up to my room and harass my wife and kids about checking out that day because I complained about this incident involving a staff member. Not only this, but due to me escalating this issue, the general manager is requiring us to move out in the middle of our stay as retaliation for reporting this incident and requesting them to do something about it. I’m reporting to corporate as well. Also for the price of the hotel, you would think they wouldn’t let homeless people hang around the lobby at all times of day, but that’s not the case. Staff unprofessional and GM doesn’t seem to care about the guest experience. Look elsewhere if you’re planning to stay in chapel hill. Corporate, please reach out if you want to make this situation right.

  This hotel is very clean and looks like a new build. The employees are very nice and helpful. The free breakfast was good with a variety of selections but we just focused on the protein. Had sausage and the little cheese omelet with coffee and grabbed a banana. Coffee and hot water for tea are constantly available. I particularly liked the water station where one can fill water in your travel water bottle. You have to pay for parking here but it isn't too outrageous. This was probably instituted to prevent the neighboring apartment complex residents from parking in their lot. This area of Chapel Hill looks very new, clean and safe. A small strip mall is very close by with restaurants, drug store and grocery. Highly recommend staying here for business or pleasure. Quiet place to stay.

  Great service and amazing staff. We appreciate Mrs Tonya Averette for her hospitality and let my family and friends crash in the lobby while we have a big storm. Definitely I recommend this place for all occasions.
