Room is a little oddly shaped & a bit dingy inside. There was a loud party downstairs and you could hear it three floors up, on the other side of the building. The desk worker was MIA for about 15mins upon arrival because of a personal need. Most staff we encountered seemed unbothered by guests but at minimum greeted us.

Rude and incompetent front desk staff. Took forever to check in and the worker did not seem to know what she was doing. We arrive in the room and are greeted with an infestation of asian beetles (look like lady bugs but invasive and a pain to get rid of). We asked for another room but after going back and forth with desk staff and them having us text a video of the bugs to their manager, we decided to just cancel the reservation. When we asked for a refund the front desk worker looked at us like we were crazy and said "well are you leaving?", to which we said yes we will stay elsewhere. She said the reservation is canceled. So we left and stayed next door at the Hilton Garden Inn, MUCH nicer hotel and staff. I still have not received any word on a refund, so I called the hotel today and was met with another rude worker. I explained the situation and said I just wanted to check if a refund was in process and he said "I don't know, I wasn't here." Very unhelpful. Update 12/21/25: The hotel did NOT refund me even though I did NOT stay there and have email documentation showing that my reservation was CANCELED.

Overall, I’d say my stay was pretty good. I give it a four out five due to the fact they want you to pay $13.99 per person for breakfast which is a bit outrageous due to the fact the breakfast is nothing fancy then your typical continental free breakfast that is served at every other Holiday Inn. The rooms were nice and spacious the bathroom was big and spacious as well for the prices of the rooms you would think breakfast would come with it instead of having to pay extra.

This is a perfect place for a staycation, the room was clean, spacious and they have blackout for the windows. Also the breakfast was the best I’ve had here in North Carolina at an Hotel. I would go back plus the customers service was amazing and friendly staff!
