We recently (yesterday at 3:30 PM) utilized the parking and shuttle service to RDU. We arrived to terminal 1 to start unloading bags. First the driver didn’t even open the main sliding door for my wife and son to get out (i sat in front due to last minute over crowding of the vehicle) so i had to open it. After he opened the back for me to start grabbing the bags out he was quiet. After i grabbed my last bag he asked “are you good?” I responded with “yeah we’re all good i appreciate it.” As soon as those words came out my mouth he gave the most rude disgusted look as he looked me up and down. I asked if there was an issue or something, he didn’t say a word, looked me up and down again and shook his head negatively. I asked AGAIN “is there a problem?” I asked this same question 3-4 times because he kept shaking his head at me. After the last time of me asking he said “don’t get no attitude with me”. This type of behavior is uncalled for and undeserving. Worst way to start a vacation. 1. If he was upset cause i didn’t tip him, MY WIFE HAD CASH IN HER HAND WAITING FOR US TO FINISH UNLOADING. 2. Or it could be because I’m white and my wife (and son) or not. Whether it was racism or because money, don’t act like a child thinking i can read your mind, you’re a grown man. We will NEVER utilize the hotels services ever again. Stay away from this place.

So we check in and the heat doesn't work. Now for 250 dollars a night I think the heat should work. You get heat at a red roof inn. When I approached the Supervisor, Aria I think her name was, she acted like this was my problem. Now instead of just moving us in another room she sent Caleb ( who was very nice) up to take the room apart while we were still in it only to get somewhat warm air to blow out, not heat. Not his fault, and yes he says this happens all the time lol. Now finally after I absolutely insisted to be moved she moved me in a separate room. When we went in that room there was a giant stain on the floor ( first thing we saw) the supervisor could care less she laughed about it. We left immediately. We were there 45 minutes. I will never stay at this hotel again. Pathetic. UPDATE!! (( interesting how the general manger in this response acts like he wants to have a conversation with me yet avoided three of my phone calls and ignored numerous messages with my name and number to call me back )) all about the appearances not what’s really being done, just like your hotel!

Don’t get me wrong, the outside of the hotel and the inside foyer are amazing. The hotel is extremely spacious and is well laid out. However, under the surface, there are substantial cracks within both the operations of the hotel and the rooms themselves. As others have mentioned, the beds are quite small, the toilets are extremely low to the ground, and the toilet paper is extremely flimsy. The air conditioning works but makes odd noises throughout the night and simple buttons on the thermostat simply don’t work. The in-room coffee is an older cuisinart that doesn’t work and neither tv in our room would turn on. Front desk felt more like they were being bothered at each request or question and parking is a nightmare with the threat of being towed. The only real saving grace is the complimentary breakfast, with the individual in charge of the omelette station ensuring that the grill was cleaned before he made mine as I don’t eat pork. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, it’s not terrible, it’s just lacking.

Revision to my review below. This visit from Jan.1 - tomorrow has been back to near perfect! Parking was not an issue this time as we never had to drive around looking for a parking spot. We love the staff, rooms are comfy, bfast is always good....quite happy! We've been staying at Embassy Suites on Harrison Oaks Blvd for many, many years now. Recently, they started allowing non patrons to park in their parking lot for a fee. Long story short, it is very very frustrating trying to find parking now. We are Hilton diamond club members. We will be taking our business to Bonvoy as we are members with Marriott as well but 90% of the time we stay with Hilton. If something changes and those of us that have been loyal Hilton patrons are offered parking first then we will reconsider. Although we appreciate your response, and we have loved staying here over the past 10+ years , and we are heading there today for the next 3 days....are there any plans to improve parking circumstances for loyal Hilton customers? We do not want to change our go-to hotel for Raleigh, but if we find this trip to be more of the same with the parking we will have to....our time just as everyone else's is precious, and don't want to spend too much of it looking for parking. Thank you again for your response.

I had a great stay at this hotel from start to finish. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and everything ran smoothly throughout my visit. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service. Ashley at the front desk went above and beyond to be helpful. She was welcoming, professional, and genuinely attentive, taking the time to make sure all my questions were answered and that my stay was seamless. Her positive attitude and attention to detail made a great stay even better. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel—especially thanks to staff members like Ashley who clearly care about the guest experience.
