I never heard of Best Western Plus but it is by far nicer than any others I have seen. I wonder if this hotel was a higher end chain before becoming a Best Western, because it’s much much nicer than what I expected! The hotel has traditional, nice and cozy decor that is the perfect backdrop for the Christmas decorations everywhere in the main areas. This is a deceivingly large hotel with lots to decorate! We really enjoyed the decorations and feeling of being in a hallmark movie!!! Everyone was also super nice and friendly! Beds: Given past neck surgery and being a side sleeper, comfortable beds are a must for me, and the beds were pretty soft (what I need). I was definitely able to sleep which is better than most hotels. There were a couple of different type pillows to choose from, all good. Even though I travel with my own, I ended up using one of their pillows. This isn’t a high end fancy bed like you might find at much hotels costing 2+ times more but is definitely premium for the price point. Breakfast: The hot eggs, biscuits, sausage, and breakfast potatoes were ok, what you might expect on a buffet. There were a range of other options, like fresh waffles and yogurt and oatmeal (no grits) and pastries. The dining room is nice and beautifully decorated for Christmas, along with the rest of the hotel. I enjoyed sitting by the cozy fireplace to eat breakfast on a cold morning where we only stayed due to freezing fog that made it dangerous to continue traveling. Rooms: We were near main hallways which concerned me in case of noise, but in spite of a rowdy group being only a few doors down, we never heard anything inside the room! Surprising really, as there’s usually at least a dull roar in many hotels this near the interstate. Everything in the room was very clean and well maintained, not brand new (only noticeable due to the more traditional style) but was not showing signs of age either. Everything was comfortable, clean, quiet, and not smelly! Thank you for that!!!

Toilet flooded after 2 flushes. Tub drains VERY slowly. Bed was not made properly. The soft cotton sheet was the middle layer. The bedding felt like I was sleeping under plastic. Other than that, the A/C unit worked. Vending machine was fully stocked and not working. The sodas were way overpriced. Food and shopping were within minutes.

We travel back and forth between Atlanta and DC with some regularity, and usually just pick whatever hotel is cheap and takes dogs, tolerating pet fees of $75 or more. No longer! This place is fantastic. Great rooms, clean, helpful staff, $10 (!) per night pet fee, right off the highway, and an amazing restaurant on site. This is our new stopover spot.

Currently staying at this Best Western in Burlington, NC for business, and it’s been one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. I booked a five-day stay (around $800), and the WiFi hasn’t worked since check-in. The front desk said there’s nothing they can do — unacceptable for a business traveler. Later that night, while checking on my laundry, the general manager confronted me in front of the entire lobby, questioning if I was even a guest. He demanded my room key and refused to return it until I said my room number out loud — humiliating and unprofessional. His reasoning was “many outside people come in and wonder around” For a brand that claims to value comfort and hospitality, this stay has been the opposite. I expect someone from corporate to reach out regarding this situation. Guests deserve respect, working amenities, and basic professionalism…. Not being called homeless
