  I booked this hotel through Capital One Travel a month ahead of time. I showed up to the hotel at 9pm and was told that they overbooked the hotel and that did not have a room. I was told that there was nothing that they could do for me. I was able to find another hotel in Boone but had to pay a premium for the stay. I went from using points to stay to having to pay $500 for a two-night stay at another hotel on my own dime. I reached out to Holiday Inn customer service, and they had the owner of the hotel reach out to me. I asked him to compensate me for the difference it the rate of the room that I had to stay and the room that I originally booked. He told me that he wasn't going to do that and that I was just out of luck. So don't book here you might have to sleep in your car after driving 5 hours to get there. Terrible customer service. How do you over book a hotel? Do you not know how many rooms you have. Unreal.

  Booked on the website—not a third party service—and we arrive to find out they overbooked. I would expect at least a phone call or an email before?

  Great hotel very, very clean 👌🏻 mine is a true review... I went on a holiday weekend with friends for a ski trip, they have an excellent schedule for the jacuzzi from morning until 11pm after going all day skiing great time at the jacuzzi with very good size 👍🏻

  Customers don’t know how to park when asked to get the owner of the car that boxed my car in parking incorrectly, manager got the guy he came down and instead of moving his car pulled forward 2 inches and said if I didn’t listen to him direct me on how to back out he wasn’t gonna help me (maybe cause I’m a small woman and he thinks he is high and mighty) management let this man talk to me in a horrible manner. The locked the front doors during the open hours so how is anyone suppose to book a room if you can’t even get in front desk?! ONE STAFF THE WHOLE NIGHT. ONE He could’ve backed out allowing me to back out and pull off and then he could’ve pulled back in. Normally when customers are rude or aggressive to another the staff is suppose to HANDLE it. I didn’t get to leave for over an hour after checkout due to this. Outside in the parking lot FOR OVER AN HOUR REQUESTING HELP. THIS HOTEL IS HORRIBLE. The customer proceeded to degrade me and walk off as management stood there with a blank stare. I’m not from NC. THIS WAS A “NICE WELCOME” I do not recommend this hotel, there’s another down the street and several in Boone. Please listen to my advice and RUN THERE INSTEAD
