The hotel feels calm and quiet even though it’s right off 105. You can tell it’s managed well because everything runs smoothly, check-in, parking, Wi-Fi, all just worked. It’s become my go-to spot whenever I’m in Boone now.

The restaurant is very nice. The lady at the front desk is super helpful. The rooms are good and clean. There is a construction going on next to the hotel so if you go to the parking lot from the back entrance, it could be tricky. Other than that, it is a very nice place to stay

Great hotel! Great location! Great staff… but the last few times we’ve been here the pool was closed off and the second elevator was also closed. That’s 2 years in a row… but the rooms are great, also meaning we can’t hear anyone else in their rooms. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows are great. Everything is very clean. There is a tv, closet, coffee maker and little refrigerator. The staff is kind and welcoming. There is no free breakfast though (just an fyi) but there is a great little brewery a 2 minute walk away and there’s a Wendy’s and Bojangles literally a1-2 minute walk away also. It’s a very good location and good place to stay.

If you're traveling for work they do not have complementary breakfast unless you pay extra for a extremely limited menu ,pool was down, all ice machines were down they have dinner choices but are out of whatever you order then get something different but no I'm sorry or a heads up kind of a potluck so to say staff was very nice though.

Worst Stay Ever - Avoid This Hotel at All Costs! My stay at the Holiday Inn Boone was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Stay far away if you value your time, money, and comfort. First off, the room was a complete letdown. The photos online made it look decent, but in person, it was far from what I expected. The furniture was outdated and falling apart, the carpet was stained, and it felt like no one had bothered to clean properly in ages. There were visible dust bunnies and cobwebs in the corners—disgusting. I couldn’t even sit comfortably without feeling like I needed a shower afterward. Next, the staff was a whole other issue. The front desk clerk was completely uninterested in helping us. We arrived, and the woman at the front desk had the audacity to treat us like an inconvenience. When we asked about amenities, she barely looked up from her phone and gave one-word answers. No courtesy, no professionalism. It was clear that the staff doesn’t care about customer service. The breakfast? What a joke. The “breakfast” they advertise is a total scam. It was barely edible, if I’m being honest. The options were limited to stale bread, rubbery eggs, and some sad-looking fruit that was more brown than fresh. The whole breakfast area was a mess—disorganized, dirty, and looked like it hadn’t been restocked in hours. I ended up going out to eat because even though it was “free,” it wasn’t worth my time or energy. To make matters worse, the indoor pool was closed for maintenance, which was one of the main reasons we booked this place in the first place. No prior notice was given, and when we asked the front desk staff about it, they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. If you’re going to offer amenities, at least make sure they’re available or let customers know ahead of time. The check-in process was a nightmare. We arrived after a long drive, only to find that the reservation was “lost” in their system. They couldn’t find our booking for almost an hour, and the desk staff seemed as clueless as ever, with zero urgency to resolve the issue. By the time they figured it out, we were exhausted and just wanted to get to our room, but of course, that didn’t happen without more hassle. Finally, don’t even get me started on the general upkeep of the hotel. The halls smelled musty, the elevator was out of order, and the entire building seemed to be in a state of disrepair. I don’t know what kind of renovation they’re doing, but they clearly aren’t doing it right. In short, this was a terrible stay. The lack of cleanliness, poor customer service, misleading amenities, and overall disorganization made it one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I’ll be staying far away from this Holiday Inn in the future. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
