I booked this place since I saw a hot tub on google and the indoor/outdoor pool. I solely book this specific location because of the hot tub and the indoor/outdoor pool. This was a requirement my wife and daughter had. I have stayed at other holiday in express hotels with larger friend and family groups that had this layout and we really enjoyed it.
I was more inclined to stay at the Kimpton, but since the hot tub would make my wife happy and an indoor/outdoor pool would make my daughter happy and the point redemption was really low I decided to pick this place.
...SO... the hot tub is closed off (permanently I think) and the outdoor part of the pool is closed also in march (at least when we visited in march ... website just says indoor pool open year round). We went to the pool and the indoor part was full of a family with kids having fun and jumping in (that was great for them) but my daughter didnt feel comfortable with a few people basically taking up the whole (small interior) pool. If the outdoor side was open also at least there would have be another area we could have gone to. It should be more clearly when the outdoor pool is closed. And since there are many old pictures that are on google maps and other websites showing the hot tub ... the IHG website should state that they their hot tub is no longer in service.
I would have switched if it was just me, but my wife does not like to change hotels after settling in at one hotel. So, was not able to switch hotels for our 5 day stay. I had emailed them the first night we checked with this concern and never heard back and then emailed again a few days after returning and now about a week later still nothing. Not very satisfied with this place.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The service was not good from the moment I arrived. At the front desk, I stood at the reception for a while and the staff made eye contact with me but didn’t acknowledge me or even say “one moment please.” They just continued their conversation, which felt very unprofessional and unwelcoming.
I was also not recognized as a member at all, and there were no benefits offered for IHG employees, which was surprising and disappointing.
The room was in terrible condition and did not meet expectations. I had requested a room close to the elevator as my preference, but instead I was assigned the very last room at the end of the hallway.
Overall, this was a very poor experience and I would not recommend staying at this hotel
