Gentleman at front desk rude, building nice, breakfast area nice. Room a disaster. Night table broken, TV small and old, keeps going dark then back on. Bed looked like a 2 year old made it up.

We have been staying here when we go to the zoo since the early 2000’s. I’ll start with the positives. The staff was great! Always friendly. Location to the zoo is perfect with lots of restaurants around for dinner and the like. That’s about it for the good side I’m afraid. Keeping in mind we haven’t been back in a while but we decided to take a spur of the moment trip to the zoo for a couples weekend. When we got into our room it was obvious no one had been in the room for a while. The ac was off and it had a stagnant smell. There was a big spot above the shower where there had been a leak and the patch that was done just looked soggy and gross. The drain in the shower was all rusty. There was an old toothpaste cap down in the sink drain because there was no drain plug in the sink at all. The caulk around the toilet was dirty and rusty and moldy. For some reason the toilet was super small. It seemed like it was only 10 inches off the ground like it was a child’s toilet. It’s obvious whoever does maintenance here either doesn’t care or has no clue what they are doing. ( I’m a maintenance supervisor). All of this is nothing compared to the bed. I can’t even explain how hard the bed was. It was like sleeping on a piece of plywood. My wife and I tossed and turned all night trying to get comfortable and our backs were killing us in the morning. Took almost two hours before I was able to walk straight. The place need renovated badly and this just isn’t a Hilton hotel. We went to get breakfast in the morning and when we saw it we just decided to go eat out. It looked dirty and honesty after the nights experience we just didn’t trust it. I hope they find a way to fix this place up. It needs some solid attention to bring it back up to standard

Always stay here when visiting family in Asheboro. Located perfectly around restaurants and grocery stores. The employees are pleasant; very welcoming but the hotel does need a up date for interior.

I travel often and always try to stay at the Hampton when possible. This hotel chain is generally consistent with clean and quiet rooms. This Ashboro, NC Hampton is 100% the worst. I paid for a suite that had a separate bedroom. The room was dark and dirty, the pull out sofa was so dirty that it must have been pulled out of a nearby dumpster. They were expecting nearly $700 for a 2 night stay. After refusing this room, the receptionist gave me another room. After inspecting this room, I decided to go to another hotel. I ended up staying at the Holiday Inn Express directly behind and I was very satisfied and saved $300. Hampton should cut there losses and shut this place down!!

Let me preface this review by saying I am a Diamond member because I travel every week for business but I can promise after this stay I will never stay at a Hilton property again! I stayed at this hotel for 4 days for Highpoint Market, and the day I checked out and flew home I left a suit jacket in the closet by mistake. I immediately called the hotel to have them grab it so I could pay to have it shipped and amazingly enough, they couldn’t find it. No one stayed in that particular room since my stay and I told them exactly where it was. Integrity is everything in business, now you lost mine, and my nationwide company as well!
