  This hotel was recently remodeled and they got rid of regular desks, replaced with this ridiculous round table. Perhaps I'm staying in the only king room with this table, but I doubt it. This is probably the 30th time I've stayed here for work in the last 10 years and I need a rectangular desk for it, not this 'sit around and play cards' table. Unless I can confirm there's a regular, conventional hotel desk in my room, I doubt I'll stay here anymore.

  This is a very fine hotel, attractive and clean with lovely seasonal decorations. The queen suite that we used was spacious and comfortable. The indoor pool is warm and clean, very refreshing in the winter. The breakfast is satisfying with abundant hot and cold choices, functioning waffle makers, and fresh fruit. The staff keeps the coffee and hot water carafes filled 24/7. Most of all, the staff is the best to be found. Front desk people are friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff found my forgotten purse in the room and immediately the desk clerk called me to arrange for its return. Not only was it back in my hands quickly, it was missing nothing. All the cash, credit cards, electronics, were present and intact. This is the best place to stay in Southern Pines!

  This Hampton Inn was conveniently located to our travels. We were pleased with the clean room and hot breakfast that was included the next day. Our check-in was quick and efficient by a desk clerk that seemed to be enjoying working there. That makes a difference. The room was spacious and everything inside was in good working condition. We will pick this location again the next time our travels put us in this vicinity.

  I’ve stayed at this location many times. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I typically arrive extremely late and without a reservation, but Miss Margaret at the front desk always greets me warmly and finds the best room and rate available. Recently, when I arrived there were several people waiting to get checked in and it was about 1 a.m. Despite her guests being a little grumpy and tired, Miss Margaret remained cheerful and gracious and got everyone taken care of as quickly as possible. The rooms are consistently clean and the breakfast is great too!
