- CRCeCe ReviewedNov 30, 20255.0We stayed for 4 nights at the end of November and it met all our needs. The building is on the older side but the staff did all they could to decorate the lobby nicely and made it look inviting and clean. We could see the big "Saint John" sign on the hill and the harbour so we absolutely enjoyed the location. The room we had was renovated so our beds were comfortable, there were multiple chargers available and the bathroom was very practical. There was good water pressure and we never had trouble with the temperature. Also, the room AC/Heat was very reactive so the room cooled and warmed up very quickly. There is a gym there and each time we were there, no one else was there so lots of privacy and plenty of towels, wipes, and water. The pool area was pretty big and if I had to nitpick, I would say this area could use a bit more care. The pool and hot tub area could use a more regular cleaning schedule and the towels also need to be refilled more often. The breakfast is not free but the front desk could offer it at a discount. We only ate there once and the only difference from a free breakfast buffet at another hotel is that they offer fresh pico de gallo and baked beans. The other offerings are pretty standard things like pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins, toast, yogurt, oatmeal, etc. Overall, we were really happy with the hotel and the service we received.
