- MWMike WagnerJun 9, 20251.0My family has been staying at that hotel for decades. Annual trips to PEI, that is the stop during the trip. Booking the trip for my parents, I needed to confirm with the hotel that the room could stay on my credit card. I called seven times before I was able to speak to someone. I asked to share my concerns with the manager. I was told, "we are busy with customers." My calls literally covered a span of 5 hours, I am sure they are not that busy. My parents arrive and check in. They are almost 80. They get to their room, and they key won't open the door. After 2 trips, they still could not get into their room. A maintenance worker had to let them into their room after watching this hassle with the front desk. The front desk staff was described as rude. After checking in initially, she demanded to see ID again before providing a key for the second attempt... which still didn't work. My parents did not want the hassle of dealing with the front desk staff and resigned themselves to their room for the night. They had a reservation to stay there coming home....but that was canceled. This is not the same hotel, and not only will we never stay again, I would recommend no one stay there. The Microtel in Edmonston has been found to be much better.
