Nice but old hotel. More on the historic side. The hotel is centrally located with a nice lobby. Fitness facilities are good. Rooms are clean and nice, however carpet needs to be replaced. Bathroom is small and shower head is not great. Rooms need more lighting. Hallways are dark and older a bit of an update would do well. Have to pay separately 17.50$/night for parking. There are two restaurants inside the building.

One would think that a place that slides a needless “e” after “Crown” in the old English style and located in downtown Fredericton would be a stately, upper-class thing, like a classy old dowager. This beat-up, ancient, maze-like structure is more like that chain-smoking old grandma down the road, the kind that has somehow avoided lung cancer despite living hard. Whoever owns this thing has done almost nothing to upgrade its critical elements. The bathroom fan is some cheap thing: it has all the Sones. The bathtub is chipped in several locations, and it’s apparent nobody here knows about epoxy refinishing products – or is too damned cheap to invest $100 on fixing the tub. I’ve seen better tubs used for animal troughs on hobby farms. The heater on the outside wall kicked on every 20 minutes. A blast furnace it is, that unleashes the flames of the netherworld all nicely linked to the sound of a jet engine. Next to the bed. At night. *Forget sleep.* Or bring earplugs. On the plus side, the blast-furnace heater meshes nicely with painting on the wall that seems as if some artist was either limited to a few colours when they were commissioned, or, alternately, was attempting to depict Sauron’s tower rising above a lake of molten lava. One would think for a nightly rate as excessive as this you might get a free breakfast, but nope. All in all, go somewhere else. Save your money, and sleep better. Meanwhile, I have to endure two more nights here.

Right downtown across from theatre. Nice modern rooms and wonderful restaurants. Good value if on business!

This was my first stay outside the Best Western chain at the Crowne Plaza Fredericton - Lord Beaverbrook, and honestly, I'm pretty disappointed for a hotel charging around $300/night and marketing itself as luxury. To start positively: the reception staff were awesome—friendly, efficient, and genuinely helpful. They even offered a complimentary upgrade to a king suite with the in-room jacuzzi tub. None of my criticisms are aimed at them; they were a real highlight and handled everything professionally.Unfortunately, the room fell way short of expectations:Right away, there was a strong burnt candle smell that lingered throughout the stay. The jacuzzi tub looked okay at first glance, but even after we cleaned it ourselves, a ton of nasty grime, residue, and buildup came out. For an in-room feature in a premium suite, this was embarrassing and felt unhygienic—not properly deep-cleaned between guests. Thick dust everywhere, including behind furniture, along baseboards, and especially next to the bed on both sides. We also found old party supplies/debris tucked away out of sight, suggesting it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. Other maintenance red flags: visible scuffs, marks, and small damages on surfaces (like the table with noticeable scratches/spots), dusty vents/grilles, tangled messy cables and power cords all over the floor, and some wall/baseboard peeling or wear near outlets. Worst of all, the bedside power outlets didn't work at all. No charging possible from the beds without extension cords or moving to other spots, which was frustrating for basic convenience. At this price point, I expect—at minimum—a spotless, well-maintained room with functional basics. Adding an extra charge for breakfast on top just made the value feel even worse. The downtown location is convenient, and the staff deserve full credit, but housekeeping and maintenance really need attention to live up to the hotel's reputation. I won't be returning without seeing big improvements. if management is interested, I have photos of all of my complaints, it was room 518 for clarification.

The dirtiest hotel! There were mice in my room, the rudest customer service after letting them know about the mice. 🐁 Great location
