We had alot of problems booking our stays on our vacation with IHG (main contact, not this hotel directly), using our points and ended up paying a few hundred dollars extra to buy points we didn't need when all was said and done. When we arrived the evening we had planned on staying, we found that yet another mistake had been made by IHG (main contact) and they had booked us for the night following. Paulette listened to the whole story of what happened and went above and beyond to help us, allowing cancellation of the reservation so as not to have us have to either stay an extra day for no reason or lose even more points. We were so grateful to her excellent customer service and to the hotel for empowering their employees to deal with situations directly. I do hope the hotel recognizes her excellence! But the issue that was most disturbing was the amenity fee which was $15 per person. My husband and I were charged $34 for these fees. When I inquired what the fee for for-I was told "free" coffee and ice cream bars in lobby- most expensive cup of coffee. There was no mention of this when I booked and there was no refusing this offer. When I questioned corporate the response was basically "oh well". Just beware! The hotel itself met our needs and the location was located close to everything but there were other hotels I wish we had investigated.
