Everything was as expected from an IHG hotel. Clean & comfortable with professional and friendly staff. Will stay here again. I gave the location 4 stars because of the road congestion getting to the parking.

Had three of my coworkers stay here for 3 nights. They enjoyed the rooms, but the young woman at the front desk when they went to check out was very rude to them. That's an immediate 1 star from me. She was particularly rude when they asked for a reciept. She acted like it was the end of the world that she had to print them out. It's business travel. We have to have reciepts. We stay in Helena often for work and will not be staying here again.

I originally had a reservation for 3 nights. When I checked in, I informed the employee at the desk that I may only be staying 2 nights rather than 3. She said “try to let us know the day before your final day and then you won’t be charged for the last night.” On day 2, I went down to the desk (the phone in our room didn’t work) and explained to the employee that we would likely be leaving the next day (1 day early). She said to let the desk know the following morning that we would be checking out a day early and we would NOT be charged for night 3. The next morning, we packed up, got out of our room, and went up to the desk by 11:15. We told the worker that we would be leaving that day and that the 2 previous employees told us we wouldn’t be charged. This employee named Monica directly contradicted what the other 2 told us and said she was still going to charge us for night 3. She said she would have to check the cameras and talk to the other employee before even considering a refund for night 3 but refused to do either of those things while we were there and never followed up. I opened a case with Holiday Inn and was told I would get a response within 48 hours but never did. A couple weeks later I opened another case, was again told I would get a response within 48 hours and never did. I reached out again and was connected with Alishia Hoppe at the Helena location. I called her and she said she would look into it and get back to me within 20 minutes and never did. I emailed her a couple days later with a detailed description and never got a response. I followed up with another email a couple weeks later and still haven’t gotten a response. All I want is the refund for the night I didn’t stay there after following all the directions I was given by the employees. I have now spent countless hours trying to get this resolved and nobody cares or gets back to me. I’m begging you to check the cameras to prove that I’m not making up these conversations. The customer service has been incredibly disappointing and I will not stop fighting for my refund. For anyone reading this please beware of the lack of care that these employees have for their guests and the lack of communication and contradictions they have with each other before booking a stay here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Stay!
Our team was extremely pleased with everything during our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. From top to bottom, the experience was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered throughout the building was friendly, helpful, and clearly took great pride in their work. The entire hotel was spotless, and the breakfast was amazing—fresh, well-stocked, and served with genuine care.
A special shout-out to managers Alishia the general manager and Jake the assistant manager, for running such a clean, organized, and welcoming hotel. Their leadership truly shows in every detail. To top it off, we accidentally left behind a wallet, and it was returned to us completely intact—with all the money and everything inside. That level of honesty and integrity says everything about the kind of people who work here.
We highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely be staying again in the future!
