We have been staying here for many years. The place is starting to get run down and could use an update in all of the common areas and guest rooms. The furniture is worn and our bathroom had mold on the caulking around the bathtub. Our room (604) was hot at 75 degrees. We called the front desk to inform them prior to leaving for dinner and they said they would call someone in to reset the AC. After dinner we came back and our room was still at the same temperature. I called the front desk again and was told that the unit was broken and couldn't be repaired until Monday (the day after we check out). Lucas came up to our room and removed a metal bar that was screwed into the sliding door frame to keep the door from opening. He then said that we could keep the sliding door open to cool off the room. We slept with the sliding door open all night, which was strange and felt somewhat unsafe. However, this did keep our room cooler, but we did not sleep well.
This hotel definitely needs to be updated and could use some love. The staff is always super nice and we love the location, that is why we keep returning. I am considering staying at the newer Home 2 Suites, but the location is not near the places we like to visit.

I stayed here for 4 nights in Sept 2025 for a vacation to Helena. I could not have enjoyed my stay any more than I did and I would absolutely stay here again. The entire staff was extra friendly, helpful, and professional. Not a day went by that they didn't go above and beyond to do little extra requests for me. The hotel is in a perfect location attached to the pedestrian mall in downtown Helena and is a short, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, shops, souvenir places, and bar & grills. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept, and the housekeeper that worked on my floor was very pleasant and was glad to help with requests like extra Keurig cups, glasses, etc that I asked for. Joy, who is one of the managers, and was at the front desk much of the time, was always helpful and accommodating. Even the two young men, Chase and Cash, who drove me around when needed, and provided the hotel pickup and drop-off at the airport in the hotel shuttle, were both very nice and friendly and contributed to the enjoyment of my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The good: excellent location. Friendly staff. On site dinner restaurant is quite good, open only for dinner. Rooms as you would expect for the price. A little tired, but clean.
The bad: no hot shower the 2 days we were here. Tried at 5am, 2pm, lukewarm at best. hallways have piped in air freshener that smells like your grammas perfume bottle that was in the bottom or her purse since 1963 fell on the floor and broke. Awful. Breakfast buffet is slightly below average for food, but problematic with procedures. It opens, and fills up fast, then the hard working server gives you a plate and silverware and the has to take drink orders! Insane when 30 people just sad down. Water came after I finished eating. Why not have a beverage station like most buffets?!
