  While the staff seemed nice at first, I quickly realized that they weren't efficient.. There was a lot of misguide and miscommunications. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay made this visit far more difficult than anticipated. We were not informed prior to booking or check-in that there would be ongoing construction. Hallway carpets being covered in paint created an unpleasant and concerning environment. We were also not advised in advance that housekeeping services would not be provided due to traveling with a dog. This was never explained at check-in, nor were alternatives discussed, which is particularly impactful during a longer stay. In addition, no one explained the availability or use of the guest pantry. We only discovered this amenity after several days, despite it being a meaningful part of the Candlewood experience. The refrigerator in our room appears to be set below the recommended temperature, causing all of our purchased groceries to freeze and become unusable. This included a large tray of eggs and other food items, resulting in unnecessary expense and disruption. There were also multiple maintenance and cleanliness concerns within the room itself, including loose bathroom fixtures and a visibly dirty, stained couch. Most significantly, the elevator was out of service for an entire day. This created a serious accessibility issue, as my partner’s mother is unable to use stairs. For a stay centered around visiting someone with mobility limitations, this was not just inconvenient—it directly impacted our ability to move safely and comfortably during our visit. Taken together, these were not isolated or small issues. They affected the quality, accessibility, and purpose of our stay, and unfortunately diminished what was meant to be a meaningful holiday visit.

  When we stepped off the elevator on the top floor, it smelled like a Mexican restaurant. The room smelled a little better, but still had a reminiscent of a cleaned bathroom. No coffee in the room and was not a pleasant way to wake up. Base board trim was missing throughout the halls and the property just looked run down. It was clean enough to stay overnight, but I would not recommend it for anything more than a day. Disappointed in the IHG line for this location.

  I enjoyed the one night stay. Parking was a little tight but the heated pool was outstanding. No breakfast though. A snack covy for sales is near the front desk with free hot chocolate.
