  I highly recommend this hotel. Very easy to find, parking lot was spacious enough to not feel cramped. Inside was very clean. Every one of the staff members we encountered was not only professional, but extremely personable. Even the other customers were super nice. I couldn't ask for a better hotel experience.

  My wife and booked 6 night stay at Avid in Southaven due to power outage at my home. The check in staffs are top notch. They were very friendly and caring. The manager is a different story. On January 30th 2026 we asked them to change our sheets and put cleaning towels in our room. When we arrived back after lunch we noticed that they came in and made up the bed without changing the sheets. When my wife went to the front desk to complain about it, the front desk person was very nice and professional. Then the manager called and stayed that the reason that they didn't change the sheets because they thought we were checking out, if she thought that we were checking out why would you make up the bed with the same lining on it for someone else to lay on. If she thought that we had checked out, you would have put clean sheets on the bed for someone else to check in. She continued to repeat the same thing over and over until I told her that I'm busy doing payroll and I will have my wife to pickup the sheets and change them ourselves. Then on January 31, 2026 the front desk called my room and requested that I bring my card that I booked the room with through IHG. When I asked her how much was my card being debited for? She gave me a higher price than what IHG online Agency gave me. I let the front desk staff know that the price that I got a confirmation for including tax from IHG was lower than what she is charging my card. I showed her the confirmation that IHG emailed me when I booked the room. This rude manager came from somewhere and tell me the extra cost is for parking lot maintenance. I told her that I'm not staying in the parking lot, why do I have to pay for parking lot maintenance? She then stated that I didn't read the fine print. I asked her to show it to me where it stated that I'm paying for parking lot maintenance in there policy, This woman so rude and doesn't have a clue what she is doing or talking about. She tells me that she can not show it to me. I told her that if I'm paying for something with my money that you stated that is the policy, you should be able to show it too me. I will have my company attorney check into this. If she would have showed me in their policies that everyone that book rooms at that location has to pay a parking lot maintenance fee, I would have felt better but she is so rude and tell lies until I don't know what to believe. To be honest the front desk staffs should be the manager because they truly knows how to conduct business. The from desk person when we checked in at 2:30 Pm on Tuesday 01/27/2026 was so professional and kind. Also the front desk person on 01/31/2026 at 2 pm was very professional and kind. The Manager needs training in customer services. If she going to be the Manager, the hotel owner should let the front desk staffs train her on customer services. I let all my employees know that if you make a mistake instead oy trying to lie, own it and do better. This so called Manager needs to know that no one have to rent a room here there's plenty of other hotels around better than this. I just want to give a shout out to all the front desk clerks and the cleaning staffs because they are pushed too the limit working over because of the ice storm so I have no complaints about them. My heart goes out to them. I will be too glad to give them a job in my companies.
