    Close to shopping. You can walk if you like to. The area is not congested. Staff is fast and friendly, check in is easy, the rooms were very clean. I stayed in a suite, the kitchen was stocked with dishes dish soap, all the necessities. It made my evening very easy.

    I stayed at Staybridge IHG in Jackson Mississippi Friday November 28 - Saturday November 29. They charged me a cleaning deposit and told me I would receive it back within 3 - 5 business days. I called December 8 (5 business days later) to ask why I had not received it back. They explained that business days were messed up because of the holiday. I stayed after the Holiday but ok. They also tried to blame my bank. I called my bank Friday December 12 to see if there were any pending transactions. They said there are none. I called Staybridge again. The girl that answered again told me that I needed to wait five business days. I told her it had been ten. She tried to blame my bank again. I told her I spoke with them before calling. She said the manager would call me back. It is now December 22. 10 days and no call from the manager. I called again. She told me they already refunded me. I said I have not received it. She said her manager would call me. I will post again when I don’t hear back from him. This is a scam they are pulling where they give you the run around about your deposit until you give up. Shady and unacceptable.

    I changed my review from a five star to a three star because although they advertise that they serve dinner, it is only three days a week. I booked the hotel for Tuesday through Friday, and they were only serving for two of those days. Many of the other hotels do not have this problem.

    I booked a reservation using my points, contacted IHG and added my aunt as a guest, as she was traveling for a medical procedure at a local hospital. When she got to the hotel and gave them her name, she was not allowed to check in because she was not me. If I had not spoken with IHG the day before, I could’ve understood that hotels have different policies. But no one mentioned this, I contacted the hotel, explained the situation, and their only response was “sorry that’s our policy.” I have traveled to IHG properties all over the country, and this was by far, the worst, most uncaring, experience and has unfortunately prompted me to close my ihg account, as I will not stay at another.
