  I recently stayed at this Tru by Hilton in Meridian,Ms. I left one of my personal items in the room. Shortly after I checked out I realized that I left something behind. I called the hotel and went back to the hotel to get my item and the front desk clerk told me that their employees are not thieves and that they didn’t see anything left behind. I didn’t accuse anyone of being a thief, not sure why she made that statement. I just know that I left something in the room and wanted to retrieve it. That experience wasn’t good for me and by her making that statement was insulting to me. Nevertheless after going back to the room myself to see if I could find it but, it wasn’t there.

  The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Unfortunately for a hotel of this caliber I found it lacking. The rooms do Not have a microwave or coffee maker. There's no desk area, just a small rolling table, which functions ok. The chairs in the rooms are fancy looking but not very comfortable. The TV is huge but confusingly complicated to operate. When you click on the remote it can take up to 10 seconds or more for the TV to respond. The guide button never pulls up the guide. The shower door leaks like it's not even shut. It takes 2 towels to Mop up the floor after a shower. In my room, the Vanity lights didn't work so it wasn't easy to see myself getting around in the morning.

  Nice hotel if U are interested in sleeping with ladybugs. Dozens of ladybugs in our room !!!!!! Shane from front desk was very friendly and helpful however we could not manage to talk to manager next day for the ladybug issue.

  warning do not stay here I travel a lot, and this is the most disgusting hotel I’ve seen. We get in the room and it was the dirtiest room I have ever seen no pad straight mattress to a thin sheet. if I could I would post the pictures I took tons of pictures of this place it’s disgusting. The mattress had hairs , stains, Food and particles all on that mattress, and the sheet was thin. The floors were disgusting. The shower the floor was black there was dirt in it. The night stands was dirty. . The TV didn’t work, heater didn’t work. hope this, I’m hoping this comment will help them train their employees to do. Better job on cleaning.

  The room is in a completely unacceptable, unsanitary, and disgusting condition. There are countless live and dead ladybugs throughout the room ,the ceiling is crawling with bugs, the bathroom is filled with them, and the room itself is visibly dirty. I personally had to remove insects from my pillow. THE LADYBUGS KEPT DROPPING FROM THE CEILING WHEN I WAS SLEEPING! I really dont care if the ladybug situation is seasonal or normal here, nobody wants to sleep with bugs all around the room The bed and linens are extremely dirty and clearly not properly cleaned. The toilet paper in the bathroom was not sealed and was obviously left from a previous guest, which is a serious hygiene violation. There are unidentified slimy stains in the bathroom, making it clear that the room was not properly cleaned or sanitized at all. This is not normal ,this is a severe hygiene failure and a serious health risk. I am genuinely disgusted and feel unsafe staying in this room. This is, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Last but not least we were told the manager would be here to talk with us in the morning, she was nowhere to be found… ( even though special thanks to Shay, she was amazing )
