  The location is convenient to the highway, but avoid. This is the dirtiest place we've stayed, possibly EVER. The carpets are filthy. The furniture, disgusting and stained. The sheets didn't have bugs, but there was hair on our sheets. The bathroom appeared okay, but there's mildew in the shower. I busted out the black light, and was horrified. I think people pee on the walls around the toilet. The chaise lounge in the room by the bed appears as though many people have urinated on it, which wasn't visible to the naked eye, but I have photos with the black light. Even the chairs at the little table, utterly gross. I wouldn't eat sitting there, so we ate in the bed. Also, there were bugs crawling around the counters in the breakfast area.

  My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Laurel MS 1-3 April 2026. Rates were reasonable, and we thought we received excellent value for the cost. Every employee we encountered was friendly, helpful and obviously anxious to assure that we enjoyed our stay. Managers and owners were accessable and engaging. The hotel was very clean throughout, The breakfast area had (fresh) coffee/tea service available 24/7. There were 2 automatic coffee machines that produced tasty coffee. The lobby representatives were friendly, greeting us every time we walked in, and they expressed sincere interest in our ‘touristy’ activities. The rooms were spacious with large screen, smart TVs. We had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee service and a spacious work surface. Shampoo, bath soap, etc., was provided in pump bottles for both the sink and tub. The bottles were clean, not gooey, and all had more than adequate fluids. This points to attentiveness by the housekeeping team. The room temperature was easy to control. Breakfast items (eggs, pancakes, biscuits/gravy, sausage, etc.) were tasty. Don’t worry about getting bored with the breakfast fare, as they change it up almost daily. Parking is ample. I can’t think of a single thing to recommend as an opportunity for improvement, let alone any kind of problem. This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Laurel.

  This place needs a deep cleaning, new toilet seats, carpet removed, employees that clean and change linen. I should’ve opted to sleep in my car ! These owners only care about the money this place shouldn’t be a IHG more like Budget Inn. Price gouging, rooms shouldn’t be over 75 a night ! If I must come to this city again I’m renting an RV ! In town for a funeral.

  Ended up stuck in Laurel do to my truck needing repairs. This hotel was awesome, I didn’t have a vehicle so hotel manager let me check in early, gave me a ride to the store to pick up some things I needed. They’ll be my first choice if I’m ever here again.

  We rolled in late at night, unexpectedly, after our truck broke down. Norman, the night clerk was amazing, found us a room for the night at a reasonable rate, and answered all our questions with empathy and kindness. The morning clerk, Christine, was equally fabulous. Arranged as late a checkout as she could for us, and was perfectly fine with us hanging out in the breakfast area for a couple of hours while we waited for our vehicle repair. They were kind and empathetic the entire time and went above and beyond for us.
