- DGDeborah GanskeMar 15, 20263.0We chose to stay here based on previous reviews and the fact it had been newly renovated. However, we must have been in a room that was still in transition or had been missed. The shower was in bad shape. Turned it to hot and the shower was freezing so I turned it to cold and got hot water. There was water damage in the ceiling and the light for the shower was out. The room light in the ceiling was flickering a lot so we didn’t use it, just lamps. We stayed in a “suite” but the space felt like there were things missing. We were only passing through on a very long drive, and were just there to rest and move on, otherwise we would have switched hotels or at least rooms. We checked in around 7:00 pm and there was very little staff. The morning front desk crew seemed much friendlier.

But on this last stay, the hallway from my room to the elevator was filthy and the carpet was not vacuumed either of the days that I stayed. The floor in the front lobby was dirty and nobody cleaned it either day that I was there to boot! As an IHG Platinum elite, I expect better of this hotel and certainly have had better in the past. The rooms could use an update, but when the rest of the hotel is filthy, it wouldn't matter if the rooms were updated or not.
