Lakisha has the best customer service- it’s
Clear she wants people to feel welcomed and to provide the best experience for anyone’s type of visit.
I really appreciated all her local suggestions she shared and how attentive she was to my struggles during booking becuase I was so tired. I couldn’t complete sentences but she was patient!!!
Give this woman a raise! NOW!
Lakisha is an amazing front desk manager. She sets you up for success, listens to your requests, and provides exceptional customer service.
Thank you Lakisha for having such great energy, positivity, and patience with me as I struggled to process checking in after a long ride.
If you’re looking for exceptional hotel service for an exceptional price- this is your place.
The breakfast is hot breakfast and the service is outstanding.
Side Note- I explored the Union Station Cairo Edition Hotel… this was a steal to get a couple blocks away and the price is insane over there unless you want every little offering but if you want a luxury room and a great location - this is your hotel!
Amazing stay! Room was clean and very nice! Hotel staff saved us from being without a room when hotels.com tried to screw us over. Was exceptionally kind and helpful in the whole endeavor! Staff was very personable and pleasant the whole stay. Admittedly parking is difficult for busy events. LaKisha and Laqonda were the most helpful and understanding.

Rude Gal at the front desk during nighttime showed up a hour after check in and said room was still not ready so they assigned another room and it was filthy and had blood smears on the door for the bathroom. Not only that but the room was missing the tv remote and when asked about these things being addressed nothing was done after asking multiple times during night and morning, even asking for extra pillows and sheets seemed like a problem. Don’t plan on a hot shower either when complaining about that they say the water heaters can’t keep up with everyone staying in the hotel. Only upside to this place is being cheap for a hotel downtown, and I the breakfast but other than that don’t have high expectations.
DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SEXUALLY HARASSED, and argued about it with by managers in the front lobby.
I was staying here while I was waiting to move into my house on the first. While I was there the cafeteria manager was starring at my butt so long the first day my girlfriend had to say something to him because we felt uncomfortable, on my last day day there while I was moving my bags out to the car the same man came all the way to the lobby to comment “ that’s a nice sturdy basket” implying that my butt was big and the basket was strong enough to hold it, because I was sitting on it while I was waiting for my girlfriend to come back from taking the luggage to the car. I tried ignoring him and he repeated himself. I then said “ I heard you and I ignored you for a reason, you’re annoying leave me alone go cook something” he then tried to laugh it off and kept talking to me. I told my girlfriend again that he was making me feel uncomfortable so she asked him to stop talking to me and leave me alone. While we were getting breakfast he then proceeded to say something to me again causing them to have a small disagreement for a couple minutes. Another employee had to come and grab him to take him back to the kitchen. He kept saying his was doing his job by being friendly but I said it’s not being friendly anymore if someone asks you to leave them alone and you keep bothering them. We thought it was over we went up to our room to eat, as we were coming back down to go to the car, he said something else trying to be funny causing THEN AGAIN ANOTHER ARGUMENT. That had him, and another cafeteria worker vs my girlfriend and I arguing in the front lobby for over 10 minutes. I even tried to walk away one time and he kept walking up on me like he was trying to be violent. While we were arguing he was admitted that he was being perverted and looking at my butt. Saying that it was big. He even threatened to get his daughters that he said was around my age ( cause he was older) to fight us. Security calmed it down and helped us get the rest of our belongings out of the hotel. As we were driving off we got stuck in some snow because of the blizzard, the same security that was nice before tried to help us get out, and we drove up a bit and got stuck again so I asked to use the shovel. While we were stuck the second time the same man came out side and was screaming “ haha don’t fall “ out of the door I then grabbed my camera and tried to record him so I could report him since I didn’t know his name. When he seen the camera he ran back in the building so I tried to get closer so I could record. As I walked in he was hiding behind the pillar smiling like all this was a game to him. I asked the same security that helped me before if he just came outside trying to bother me again in the video he clearly says “ yes he did” instead of trying to solve the problem another manager rudely asked me to leave. So I did. While we were still getting our car unstuck he came outside again with the same rude manager arguing and bothering us. I also have that on recording. This was not worth the money I spent ( $100 a night almost) if I wanted something ghetto I would’ve went somewhere cheaper. This is a horrible hotel to stay in if you’re a woman, especially alone. You will not be able to even feel comfortable walking down stairs to get a plate from free breakfast alone. I will never come back. I did not feel protected, heard, or understood here. Especially with some of them being other women.
