The good:
- Clean and comfortable room with plenty of space.
- 10min walk from convention center
- Friendly front desk service that tries really hard to give you a good experience despite the negative aspects of this location.
The bad:
-My room was not ready until 10pm even after I checked in online the previous evening. Room service way behind and maybe lacking adequate personnel.
-Breakfast is terrible with limited drink choices. It took the staff over 10 minutes to provide hot water for tea.
-Literally ran out of water mid-shower. Water reduced to a trickle from the shower head.
-The Catholic church across the street is also a mission/charity for the city which leads to a lot of homeless in the area at night.
- Two roads are currently blocked off leading to the hotel. some Uber/Lyft drivers are incapable of navigating to the entrance of the hotel which requires you to walk around the sketchy homeless to meet your ride.

They charged my card 1000 dollars without telling me. Then proceeded to argue that the room was too messy I stripped the threading of the shower head and that I smoked in my room. Supposedly if you have smoking equipment in a closed door cabinet you smoked in the room. After arguing with me over it. They only charged me 500 dollars. Don’t stay here if you want to be overcharged. Also park was a nightmare for the valets.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. This hotel does not meet the Hilton standards.
Outside of the hotel there is a large number of homeless people hanging out.
They offer two types of parking.
1. Figure it out and park on the street amongst the homeless. This requires you to plug a meter every two hours to avoid a ticket.
2. Valet for 55 dollars. There was a long line of cars sitting on the street for this option.
After waiting a half hour i told the staff i wasn't comfortable with this and would like my reservation cancelled and my money refunded.
The staff is incredibly rude, but after a bit they agreed to cancel my reservation and refund my money. I asked for a receipt and they said i would get it in my email. When i received the email it said late cancellation and they charge me anyways.
Don't stay here, don't believe a word they say. Save yourself the time and just go somewhere else.

During my stay at Home2 Suites by Hilton at this location, I thought I would have a great time. I booked a hotel room for the wrong days, so I added an extra day to my stay and called the hotel to ensure I could check in a day late. They told me that it would be no problem and I would be able to check in on the second day instead of the first day.
My friend and I arrived at the hotel on the second day, the day I was told I could check in. However, during my conversation with the front desk, they told me that they marked me as a no show and told me I would have to book another night *again* for the night that I got there. As a result, I was double-charged for two nights. No problem, I thought, as the receptionist said I would be able to get a refund.
No such thing occurred. I spoke with a woman named LaQonda who stated she was a part of the management team. She assured me that she would be able to fix my issue during a verbal conversation. She presented me originally with the hotel's email, then presented her own email for me to email what the third party booking website required: a list of information so that I would be able to obtain a refund *and* have it approved by the hotel.
I have followed up with Ms. Stunson two times with no response. The third party booking site has yet to send me a refund for the nights I was double charged. While the hotel was nice and I enjoyed the amenities, especially the guards and the morning food, I will not be able to recommend this hotel simply because of the disinformation provided to me by the original person I called on the phone on October 4th, 2025, and the information given to me by Ms. Stunson that "assured" that I would receive a refund. I am incredibly disappointed as all of my prior interactions with Home2 Suites and Hilton have been incredibly positive ones; I am let down by the management team here and the lack of communication after I left.
