I didn’t stay overnight, but I visited Angad Arts Hotel for a pop-up comedy show and had a great experience. The bar was fantastic, and the service was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The location is excellent, the vibe is cool and artsy, and the people working there really stood out. Even without staying in a room, it left a very positive impression—definitely a place I’d come back to.

How to start. My wife and I have stayed at the Angad art hotel through out the past 7 years. When we first stayed there it was very unique out of any place we have ever stayed. The art was amazing and the hotel it-self was in my mind the place we wanted to stay whenever we would come to the Stlouis area especially when we attended any functions at the Taylor music center (which was across the street).
Now for the disappointing part. I booked a room at the Angad arts hotel recently for me and my family. We were excited about showing the kids the cool hotel (especially the cool but freaky looking eye pillows in the rooms). Our check in was easy and fast especially when the front desk is on the 12th floor (which is kinda cool as well). After parking our vehicle in the hotel payparking lot. We made our way to our room 817 which turned out to be a yellow room. We had never stayed in the yellow room before and that was different but not overwhelming. The room was quiet and you could not hear the street below which was great. My wife and i were disappointed to see that there were no eyeball pillows on the beds (which we wanted the kids to see and experience). I noticed that there were a few things that needed to have maintenance take care of (see photos). The phone cord to the room phone needed replaced. The globe to one of the nightstand lights was missing and the hook to hang your towel on while your in the shower was coming off the wall. The beds were comfortable and seemed clean. In my opinion the room could have used one more chair in it and the glass coffee cups would not allow the sensor on the room coffee make to work so I had to use the to go cup before it would dispense coffee.
We took the kids on a tour of the hotel and were disappointed to see that all but maybe 2 of the cool instruments that were displayed in the main lobby were gone.
We noticed in the hallway outside of our room that there was a dilapidated bag cart. We didnt think much of it and I thought that someone from the hotel would probably remove it later it was still there when we checked out the next day. There seemed to be a smoke detector alarm going off in one of the adjoining rooms which we made sure that the hotel staff was notified of.
I said all this to say that for a Hilton property it wasn't up to what I would think is Hiltons standards plus the Angad hotel has seemed to have deteriorated over time and its slowly heading that way. I hope I am wrong because we do like the hotel and its location. I'm aware that I will receive a response back from the hotel management apologizing for our experience but my main reason for this review was the hope that someone will bring the standard back up and make the hotel one of the Stlouis areas top stays. DO BETTER.
Respectfully

Only visited the Holiday Pop Up! Decorations were GREAT! Food & specialty drinks were YUMMY (CW salad is HUGE!). The service was AMAZING - I asked questions about the drinks & her recommendations were perfect for me! Only issue is that the venue is small! There is a lot of extra seating outside (I didn't go outside, so I don't know if there are heaters or a fire pit - I wish I had looked!) A fun place to hang out!

I booked a green room, was upgraded to a different room and assumed it would be the same. It was not! I’m glad I asked because they were going to put me in a RED room! I ended up with a blue room, which was fine, but then whenever the heat kicked on, which was often, the entry door would slam! (room 702, btw). The other party I was traveling with booked a blue room and got upgraded to a red room, which he hated, but hadn’t asked and didn’t want the hassle of switching. I will not live down the fact that I picked this place! All of this is besides the fact that there is a large steel plate on the road outside that bangs extremely loudly when vehicles drive over it! You would think the city could cordon it off, overnight at least, considering it’s next to a hotel! The chairs in the restaurant are not comfortable, but the food and service were great! The place pays a lot of attention to aesthetics, but not functionality! I’m glad I was only there one night. Cool concept, although I don’t know why anyone would want a red room! Watch out if you get an upgrade, because it will most likely be red!

We typically enjoy Hilton hotels and have stayed at many over the years. This room was not cheap, and we found out upon arrival there was an additional $25 parking fee. Arrived around 10:30 p.m. and the room registered 75.5 degrees. Tried to adjust the thermostat and found there were three settings - warm, cool, and off - and no ability to set a temperature (the dial was missing). We've never run into this at a Hilton before. Tried to open a window and they don't open. Looked for a room fan and there was none. Tried to call the lobby, and the room phone didn't work. Googled the number, got the front desk, and was told guests don't have any control over the room temp other than warm, cool, and off. Was told none of the rooms have windows that can be opened or cracked, and was told they have no fans. I asked if there were any other Hilton properties nearby (the room was way too warm to sleep and we had an early morning with long travel ahead of us), and was told they don't help with reservations at other hotels. Aside from all of this, some of the curtains were off the rails and couldn't be closed so the room was flooded with light all night. All night long, we listened to sirens coming and going, as well as some odd (loud) intermittent noise from within the hotel. It made for an awful night's rest, and money poorly spent. We definitely won't return.
