We stayed here to catch the Phantom of the Opera at the Fabulous Fox and the location was EXCELLENT! The blue room is cute however I do think it needs a bit more lighting. The hotel itself is gorgeous and a piece of art by itself. We went to the Art Bar on the rooftop and the staff were so kind to us. The bartending crew even made me a birthday martini with a candle and sang happy birthday to me! We had the margherita pizza and charcuterie board and it was very good and worth the price. The staff overall were very friendly and we felt very safe the entire time in and around the hotel. We will definitely be staying here during our next St. Louis trip!

The only reason to stay here is if you’re traveling and are just doing an overnight trip to see a show at the Fabulous Fox Theater. We’ve stayed here for a few shows, and we’ve been less and less impressed each time. Most hotels have a (admittedly mediocre at best) free breakfast, this place does not. There is a restaurant, but you get overcharged for the slightly higher than mediocre food. The beds are uncomfortable, and the rooms look unfinished. You can see pipes in the ceiling of your room, and the dust they’ve collected. The bottom of wife’s feet ended up pitch black after taking just a few steps across the room. As we were packing up we set our suitcase that was on the floor on the bed, and a bug from the floor ended up on the sheets. Here’s the kicker! They’ve started putting a small bottle of water in the room, and say you can enjoy it and they’ll charge you $6 if you take it….. we bring our own water, and were charged for the water regardless. With how quick and easy it was to call and get that refunded, it feels like they do it on purpose to get $6 from every room and hope they don’t ask for a refund. I’m not accusing them of that, I’m just saying that’s how it felt. Won’t be staying here again, we have a few more shows booked this year, we are going to a hotel a little farther away. The 1 star review is 100% directed at that water bottle issue. I will say the staff(like the concierges) are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area

This is a hard review to write, because I’m not typically one to write negative reviews. However, this one is warranted. When we arrived, our hotel room was not ready for us to check in, even after check in time. There was a long line of other people waiting to check in with the same problem. This was our first issue. When we got into our room, we were disappointed to find that the thermostat had no other option than “warm” or “cool”. There is no way to adjust the temperature, so we either froze or burned up. The telephone didn’t work in the room, so there was no way to contact the front desk aside from leaving the room to do so. The room was INCREDIBLY dark, with at least 1 of the very few & very dim light fixtures not working. This made it hard to do simple tasks even during daylight hours. I wish I could review the restaurant and bar staff separately, because they were TOP NOTCH. The hotel, while unique in its artistic style, was just so-so, and the service was lackluster. Not sure how this place has the rating it does. And for it to be a Hilton property - that’s the most disappointing part.

Parking is not ideal. Do not bring a full size truck, it will not fit in the parking lot gates or in parking spot. The lobby is on the 12th floor.... this was very confusing when checking in and not seeing the 8 1/2 x 11" sign saying where the lobby is located. Also, there are multiple elevators and only 1 will get you to lobby without a key card. We had to walk around and ask where the check in is and how to get there. This lobby location detail was NOT stated on the website or any email confirming when check in is. It was a complete surprise. We stayed in a green room, while it was sufficient, it did not have a comforting vibe. The plush chair in the corner had (i can only guess) white smears on it. It was in obvious easy to see location and was NOT clean. I reported to the desk right away and they gave us free parking for the inconvenience. Which turned into only 1 night free parking not our whole stay. The electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work. We tried to reset the GFI and still had no luck. The amount of times we smelled Marijuana was nauseating, the 4th floor bellowed the smell into the elevator when the doors opened. The entrance reaked of the smell from the people standing outside smoking pot. The restaurant on the first floor had a good breakfast. The bar on the roof had an excellent staff and great views. The location was why we picked this hotel. It's the closest to the Fox Theater, at a half a block away. Would we stay here again, NO. But the location and the bar and restaurant were is only saving graces.

Room phone didn't work for the entire week I was there. I upgraded to a room with the kitchenette and the kitchenette was a microwave. No plates or silverware or cooking surface. I left the sign on my door for my room to be serviced and no one came. I called the front desk and asked. No one came. I called the front desk twice the next day and also texted the manager who promised me the room would be serviced. Came home at 8 PM. Still no service. I would certainly not stay here again.
