  For some context, my husband and I are diamond elite members of IHG. Upon, first arriving it was fine. Room was ok. However the halls had trash on the floors. The tile floors in front of the elevator were sticky. This is not a safe area. We stopped here after we went to dinner in cape. Someone tried accessing our tunnel cover of our truck. The fire alarm went off at 9:30am scared us both senseless. We went downstairs no one had any sense of urgency about turning it off. It was still on at 11:30am. The cherry on top was the hoodlums who were running through the halls at 2am blaring music yelling laughing. Same thing at 7 am and 9 am. The staff is friendly. But otherwise, terrible don’t recommend at all.

  Staff, room, Everything. After a long day on the road this place was a godsend. If you're passing through I don't think I could recommend a better hotel. I've put a video review on @samridleycomedy on ig and tiktok. Hope to stay here again

  Very clean rooms, and the breakfast and staff at the breakfast bar were very nice.

  I attempted to stay at Holiday Inn Express Sikeston with my four children. I was only trying to stay for one night due the Cape Girardeau location being booked. While the check-in associate was kind and accommodating, the evening associate was unprofessional and escalated a noise concern of my toddler into a police call, despite matched tones and efforts to resolve the issue with moving. She let her pride get in the way and trying to prove something to the person she was talking to on the phone while disclosing my guest information. I'm also experiencing a miscarriage, which made the situation even more distressing. My husband was also arriving later so i had to navigate this on my own. We were forced to leave before 7 PM, despite having no prior complaints at any hotels and being respectful guests. I hope management reviews the footage and provides proper training in empathy and de-escalation. I wanted her to understand that my frustration was only that I was even getting a noise complaint and it wasn't even 7PM, but not with her. She made it about her and even though she said that she would move me to the third floor. She made me be completely quiet while she spoke because she got mad even when I said that I understood, only to still ask me to leave. The person that checked me in was very nice though and even expressed that she had 12 kids, so was very relatable. Honestly, I left in tears. The police were even friendly and understanding because who puts out a family with kids. I was not attacking her, I didn't use any foul language, and I kept my distance. This was ultimately a pride thing, and I believe hormonal because she said she is pregnant and has asthma and needs to breathe sometime. I don't know, but I've never experienced this mistreatment before. Why would you be arguing and go back and forth with your guest instead of understanding and trying to find a resolve the problem? I wanted to edit to say that management is no better with not keeping their word. I was told I would get a full refund and that they would review the cameras and reach back out to me. They did not honor this. I just had to dispute it with my bank for not receiving the service that I paid for. Cameras probably don't even work. The assistant manager said he would contact me back, never heard from him, the manager said she would contact me, never heard from her. This is not professional and the worse customer care i have ever experienced.
