Rooms are dirty I was out of town for work and slept in the truck it was so bad I tried switching rooms and that room also was dirty and had bugs but if your in room 147 say hi to Jerry that’s what I named the roach the breakfast was good the time I ate it but after I found the roach I just assumed that was probably dirty too.

We have stayed here a few times a year for many years. Although it's an older property, they keep it current, clean, and comfortable. You can have an interior (pool-side) room or a room with an outside entrance (pet-friendly). The best part is the hot buffet breakfast: freshly cooked eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt, biscuits & gravy, prepared waffles or French toast, cereal, juice, coffee, and tea. There is something for everyone!

Bed bugs!! And housekeeping needs to do a better job. There was no spare toilet paper in room and less than 10 sheets left on the roll. Rooms in dire need to repair. We were fortunate enough to relocate to another room at 2:00 AM after I was awaken by multiple bites. Had to wash all of our belongings the next day. Laundry soap provided and free use of washer, but had to pay $4 per load for use of dryer-went to go buy dryer sheets. So our plans for the day never happened due to all this. Male check in person definitely did not want to be at work that day. Needs lesson on customer service. Other employees helpful. So be prepared for the obnoxious odor of people smoking dope! Our room this visit and last visit were filled with this smell. Watch out for guys hiding out in the stair well when coming in door from parking lot. Kinda scary.
My dad and I stayed one night, called for a pre-checkin. No double queens, told us outside rooms are pet friendly, 2 double beds, room smelt like cigarettes and cigar. The shampoo bottle was left half full from other guest. They took out the hot tub and added a 2ft kid pool. I went up to the front desk to ask for tea brought my dog with me and the guy said "just keep that dog away from me". He did apologize, however if your going to be a "dog friendly" motel maybe don't be so rude to the quest who paid $145. Would not recommend staying at this low standard Best Western. Worst one I stayed at in a very long time.If you are driving on the highway/freeway/Stateline, I wouldn't recommend driving 20 miles off just to stay at this hotel. Very minimal food option, does not look appealing at all. Would not stay again.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but this experience warrants one. Having stayed in many hotels across the country, this was easily one of the worst stays I’ve had.
I chose this hotel because I’m familiar with the Sedalia area and had heard it was recently remodeled and a great place to stay. That was not my experience at all. While it may look updated on the surface, the room did not feel clean. The floors were in poor condition, and I wasn’t comfortable walking on them without shoes.
The bathroom door stuck so badly it was difficult to open, and the overall condition made it feel unusable. On top of that, the bed was extremely uncomfortable.
What was most frustrating, however, was the constant smell of marijuana throughout the hotel. The property claims to have a strict no-smoking policy, but it clearly isn’t being enforced. The odor was present at all hours and even seeped into the room, likely due to visible gaps around the door.
This was a three-night stay, and it was consistently unpleasant. Given the hotel’s location and reputation in the area, this was incredibly disappointing.
At a minimum, guests should expect a clean room, functional amenities, and a smoke-free environment—none of which were delivered.
I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.
