I had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. My room was facing the highway, and every time a truck passed by, the entire bed shook. The noise was nonstop and made it impossible to sleep. It felt like trying to rest on the shoulder of the freeway.
When I called guest services for help, their response was unbelievably unprofessional. They claimed it “wasn’t their fault” because the highway was built after the hotel - an excuse that didn’t make the situation any better. The truth is simple: the hotel has terrible sound insulation, and they’ve clearly done nothing to address it.
A hotel’s main purpose is to provide a place to sleep. This place failed at that completely. I would never stay here again, and I don’t recommend it to anyone who actually wants rest during their trip. It was so bad, that although I had pre-paid four non refundable nights to attend a conference, after the first night, I went to another hotel and never came back.

Rooms are ok.
However one side of the building is next to a loud highway. Windows are old and have no sound insulation. Expect to hear all traffic in bed. It was impossible to sleep properly at night.
Despite multiple complaints I received no solution. I am very disappointed with this hotel and hilton in general for the appaling handling of this.

I had another wonderful experience at the Homewood Suites in Clayton. The front desk staff truly delivers top-tier service. Every request I had was handled quickly and with a smile. Barbara and Shay were especially outstanding—professional, warm, and incredibly accommodating.
This is the second time I’ve held an event here, and their consistency in service is exactly why I’ll continue to return. Thank you for making my event smooth and stress-free! Highly recommend!

Noise!
The hotel is a little outdated but still looks good. The rooms are ample and the layout is good.
Breakfast was good and the lady in charge made sure nothing was empty.
Now for the bad part. We stayed in room X17, and I put it like that because I fee like that side of the building will have the same problem no matter which floor you stay on. It is on the closest corner to the highway and the noise coming in from it gets loud at night. If you are a light sleeper like I am, you will have a hard time sleeping through the night.

This has to be a joke. The bathroom has a light that flickers, thank goodness im not epileptic. The table in the room wobbles so much it is impressive it's still standing. The front door appears to be broken. But nothing could have prepared me for the noise of the road right outside my window. It is aggressively loud. They have done zero to mitigate this noise, in fact I was looking for speakers wondering if they piped it in.
I gave this a shot because I am a loyal Hilton member and others have had luck at the Homewood suites, but they were not describing this place...at all. Also the elevators smell of a weird sweet stench similar to the stuff they used to put down on vomit in grade school.
I guess the positive is it's clean-ish.
Update: I simply couldn't take the road noise, it was impressively loud. They switched rooms. The new one has two AC units that sound like an aircraft taking off, but it's better than the road noise.
On a positive note the switching of rooms made me aware they charge $10 a night for parking. I didn't see that in the listing, don't bother doing a digital check-in, despite all the markteing, there is no point in that, you have to get your slip...and when walking that out to the car at 9:30 it was cold enough that the homeless fellow trying to offer me drugs was fairly lethargic. So I easily outpaced him during my unexpected and unwanted walk. Oh and I discovered only one of the two elevators smells like vomit absorber! And the new room door actually latches!
