- BSBen ShakmanJan 6, 20261.0I'm a business traveler who spends 60+ nights a year in hotels. This was the WORST place I stayed in 2022...by a lot! Called to discuss room assignments in the morning before arriving and the woman on the phone told me to call back after check-in time. There's some lousy customer service right there! My room, when I finally got there, stank almost to the point of being uninhabitable. I have no idea what a previous resident did in there but the smell of wintergreen is a bit overwhelming. It reminded me of a few times in the Army when I was around some horribly out-of-shape folks after a PT test. Eye-watering amounts of Ben Gay were applied and the stench in that room brought me right back. ! I asked the front desk to do something to address the issue since they were full and couldn't simply move me. Nothing was done. There's some more shitty customer service! Not sure who did the bathroom remodeling but there's no excuse for the shower control knob and bath spigot to both have about a half-inch of lateral wiggle. I put my hand on the knob to turn it on and everything moved. I have never seen that before either! TV on the wall was ancient and smaller than I've seen in a hotel in years. No HDMI port and no ability to access subscription services. How they remodeled much of the place and left this dinosaur is beyond me. I don't generally stay at this brand's properties. This experience reinforces that decision!

I dealt with three people as follows: November 14, evening (9:00-ish) of 2025 and November 15 check out @ last minute. They were ALL so wonderful. I haven't seen that kind of customer service since, I don't know when! But "Matt" with maintenance! He was so gracious when we were leaving. I haven't experienced such wonderful customer service since a mom and pop . It took me back to a different day of customer service. So if customer service is important to you; that really made me leave this review. I hope this was helpful.

I was not able to sleep due to the overwhelming dust in the air and the room. When I checked out the next morning, I told the clerk about the construction, dust,...etc. and I suggested that they not allow anyone else to stay in that room. She stated that it was the owner who has allowed this. The breakfast was awful as well. The staff were really nice.
