If I could leave a worse than 1 star I would. Planned a 5 night stay at this location and had an unexpected death and had to check out on Monday instead of Wednesday. I left before the 11am checkout time but they denied giving me credit for that night. I told the manager the situation and that I understood their policy of 24 hr cancellation but could they do a one time courtesy and honor my checkout since I was leaving before 11am. This was a sold out location so there wouldn’t have been a problem filling the room. No compassion from this hotel and I will never stay here in the future again. They also triple the price at certain times of the year . Horrible

This is a nice hotel, clean, etc, but it get a one star because they more than doubled the room rate for Truman States Family weekend. Gouging families like this in order to make a few hundred extra bucks is shameful. Rooms are normally reasonably priced but to charge $300-$400/night in Kirksville is ridiculous. Drive 10-15mins out to thousand Hills and stay at one of their cabins They don’t jack up their prices

I called to try to cancel a room because my college football player, who plays in their town, has a concussion and we need to bring him home to see the doctor. I called 65 hours in advance to try to cancel it instead of their 72 hour policy and they will not let me cancel it. There are no rooms available because of family weekend so I know they can fill it We stay there every time. The girl that answered the phone was super sweet. She said she talked to the manager and they said sorry there’s nothing we could do. $342 for a room we can’t use because of a medical injury in a college town where my son plays. Sad.

The room was beautiful. Had a king bed and a pull out couch. Plenty of outlets for charging. The bedside lamps were equipped with classic outlets and USB outlets. Their was a desk and chair. Fridge coffee pot and storage for snacks . The room have remote powered blinds that did not work. And that was dissapointing. Also the pool was super gross. And out of order and the ice machine was out of order. The breakfast was rom 6-10am and was banging. Pepper omlets pork sausage fresh waffles muffins Cereal oatmeal hard boiled eggs juice coffee milk. And more im forgetting. Would stay again hopefully the issues will be corrected
