Hotel Indigo Kansas City - The Crossroads takes its inspiration from the city's thriving creative scene by incorporating local artwork throughout its three-story building. The 81 guest rooms of this historically certified, former home of the KC Costume Company, are embellished by custom fabric headboards and specially commissioned art — including a framed paint brush. The latter is a nod to Jim Leedy who in 1985 opened the first gallery in the Crossroads in what was once a paint brush factory. He is among the local creative types who have helped shape the unique experience of staying at the Hotel Indigo Kansas City Crossroads.

Terrific location. Near a lot of great places to eat, drink, and shop. Quiet rooms. Comfy bed. Having a separate bedroom from living room was very convenient.

A nice hotel, not much room to room noise at all. Some outside traffic can occasionally be heard. A great location to get to Union Station. A safe feeling area. You must valet your car, but to retrieve it was never an issue. 5 to 10 minute wait at most. We were there Wednesday through Friday, so not sure about weekend traffic. A bar, and restaurant located in the lobby. Not a free breakfast hotel. Room was large and beds were hotel good, lol. Large window for viewing. About 20 to 30 minutes away from stadiums and zoo. But enough restaurants close by. Not a fantastic "walking" area. But cutting through the park to get to Union station would make an easy trip. Probably want your car to get around though.

Literally put my wife and I in a room with a door that doesn't close and acted surprised and put off when I asked for a room change. WHY are we putting ANYONE in a hotel room with a door that doesn't close. If I wanted to stay at a Motel 6 I would!

The room was nice. Large and quiet. Great for what I needed after a long day. The front desk personnel were great and supportive. Nice sized bar in the lobby. But they don't serve meals. They did say they served breakfast, but never saw anyone there eating food. The company I was there to support purchased daily "grab and go" breakfast coupons to pickup breakfast going out the door. Ok, now I stay at 3-4 start hotels an average of 150 nights a year, and had breakfasts and "grab n gos" at many of these hotels. But I was surprised when I turned in my breakfast ticket the first morning and got a small brown bag. Inside was an orange capri sun, an orange and a mini chewy granola bar. This was snack food I used to give to my grandkids in elementary school. Anyway, my high hopes for at least a breakfast sandwich or burrito was destroyed. I only used 1 of the 4 breakfast tickets as I found this a waste of time and effort. After this, I had to get up earlier, and travel far to find breakfast before starting each long workday. Lastly... this Hotel Indigo is within a short distance with another Hotel Indigo. Since this Hotel Indigo doesn't serve food, I had to resort to food delivery. Several times the driver took my food to the other Hotel Indigo, after telling them which Hotel Indigo I was staying. Aside from that, the valet process was a pretty good service. For a place to sleep and rest, I would stay here again. But as an overall place to stay if on a business trip with the lack of food, most likely never again. At the end of a long day I like going down to the lobby for a drink and a meal. Can't get that here.
