  Great rooms. Details in room are fantastic. Restaurant is good, but a little disorganized. Great location. Amazing ambiance. Not many people in the restaurant or bar. Seems that they need to figure out who their target demographic is and how to engage them better.

  The location is good, and the bed and pillows are comfortable, but there was a major cleanliness problem. We stayed for five nights, and the only thing they did in the room was make the bed. They didn't vacuum or sweep the floor, the sink wasn't cleaned, the shower was dirty, and there was a dried-up worm on the sheet. When we asked for someone to clean the room, all we got was a made bed and clean towels. They need to improve their hygiene; it's unacceptable.

  I have been fortunate to have two stays with the Origin Hotel Kansas City this year, and the experience from both stays have felt like home away from home. JJ and the staff were so very polite, making sure any request I had would be filled in a timely manner. I've enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at Show Pony, which I'm glad to report because I love the convivence of having a nice restaurant on same site as the hotels I stay at...major plus! Located right on the Missouri River Front, you have a wide open view of the river, providing you with a very peaceful scenery. The modern design of the hotel is an immediate eye catcher. I plan on making the Origin Hotel Kansa City my go-to stay whenever I'm in town!

  Just came for one night for the Kansas City Chiefs game with a good friend. We were very excited as it was my first time to the red kingdom and the staff was super friendly at the desk we went to the room. The key card didn’t work. We got a second key Card in our room getting ready to get cleaned up and head out and see downtown Kansas City when the desk called and said we had maliciously attacked a coffee table in the lobby (I swear that’s the exact words). My friend and I are both in our late 50s early 60s and very nice people. We had to get a luggage cart and we bumped a table that was sitting right inside the door bumped it no big deal. I looked at the table. She looked at the table nothing had happened now they put a $500 charge on our room claiming it was maliciously attacked and we destroyed a $2700 coffee table we went to the desk, asked to see the table no, it’s in the back. Can we go in the back and see the table because we know we didn’t do anything to it I asked several times to see the table they wouldn’t do it and I said well you’re gonna take that $500 charge off no and he said it’s about calming down. I said well if you don’t take it off, I’m gonna contact the lawyer. He said this grown man big man throws his hands and he says” You’re threatening me. I’m concerned for my safety.” ( I’m not making this up) He calls his brother who’s on the police department to come and escort out of the building. He claims we are intoxicated and have concealed weapons and threatening his life .Now we have to wait for almost an hour for four armed and in bulletproof vest because he told them we were drunk and he thought we had a weapon. I’m 66 years old I don’t even own a gun or a weapon. I work at an animal shelter. I’m one of the nicest people you would meet we got scammed. Since we had drove from Saint Charles, Missouri, neither of us had had anything to drink except coffee and a couple protein bars. All day we offered to take a breathalyzer that won’t be necessary.We asked the police officers if they would get the table so we could see it they wouldn’t let them do it while the police officers go back and see the table no, we also had to wait to be escorted up to our room two senior women by the four police officers and a hotel staff in front of God and everybody our weekend was destroyed. I wouldn’t walk back in that hotel for $1 million. Be careful they’re looking for marks. I know the story sounds unbelievable. It was pretty unbelievable to us too. I also want to mention that we called for a week several times a day to try to talk to management and never could get through for some reason we called the company that owns the hotels. No one would return our calls.

  We had an amazing stay at the Origin Kansas City Riverfront Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff truly made the experience exceptional. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality alone sets this hotel apart. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a great atmosphere and a perfect location along the riverfront. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and stress-free thanks to the outstanding team. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel well taken care of and welcomed like a guest—not just a reservation—this is it. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kansas City!
