Hotel Indigo Kansas City - The Crossroads takes its inspiration from the city's thriving creative scene by incorporating local artwork throughout its three-story building. The 81 guest rooms of this historically certified, former home of the KC Costume Company, are embellished by custom fabric headboards and specially commissioned art — including a framed paint brush. The latter is a nod to Jim Leedy who in 1985 opened the first gallery in the Crossroads in what was once a paint brush factory. He is among the local creative types who have helped shape the unique experience of staying at the Hotel Indigo Kansas City Crossroads.

Everything was ok except for the man laughing upfront. He gave me the wrong room key, but the second time he gave me a room key I totally entered. The room looked around, and it was occupied by people. Third time was a charm, but now he’s getting disrespectful, I paid for valet, and there was no way to park myself. The rims are really clean, but the attitude is shitty so I can no longer be respectful towards this hotel. What’s your name? Andrew was very nice and he’s the one that parked my car across the street and didn’t let the untrustworthy employee touch my key

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Indigo in the Crossroads from 12/31-1/2. Carlos greeted us warmly, and we really enjoyed our room. However, we were disappointed that the TV didn’t have smart features and, more importantly, that housekeeping failed to clean our room while we were out all day. When we were checking out and brought this up with the manager, he was not very apologetic and seemed inconvenienced, making excuses and getting defensive. We asked what could be done for us, and he reluctantly offered to add points to my rewards account, but couldn’t tell me what the value was. That said, we would definitely stay here again under different management. Everyone and everything else was great.

We had a great stay at Indigo! It's a convenient location & easy to get to Arrowhead or Kauffman. If you're not familiar with the city, it might be a little unnerving, but we didn't have any issues with sound or anything while we were there. Staff was friendly & room was clean & aesthetic! Would stay again! Okay, i did just see another review -- the walls were thin, but nothing a little white noise wouldn't cover up. & the shower was AMAZING. The water pressure was incredible.

We had a great stay at Hotel Indigo Kansas City Downtown. The service was excellent from start to finish, friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The room was comfortable and quiet overall, and the bed was one of the best I’ve slept in on the road. The bathroom deserves its own mention. The shower was spacious with a rainfall shower head that actually felt like a treat at the end of a long day. One small thing to note, the walls are a little thin. It wasn’t a deal breaker for us, but light sleepers may want to keep that in mind. Valet parking was easy and worth it at $28, with unlimited in-and-out access, which made game day simple. The location was perfect, especially for heading to Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs’ last home game. Getting there and back was smooth. Breakfast at the restaurant was good. The food itself was really solid, but service was a little slow, which is the only reason I’d give the restaurant four stars instead of five. One heads-up for coffee snobs or connoisseurs, bring your own. Overall, five stars for the room and service, four stars for breakfast service, and still a place I’d happily stay again. Comfortable, convenient, and well worth it.

First off, if your goal is to spend a lot of money on a nice hotel room and NOT GET ANY SLEEP, then this is the place for you! The hotel put me on the first floor with my room facing the road. Shouldn’t be an issue most of the time with some external road noise to be expected. However, in this hotels pursuit to be “chic” and “boutique”, they made the entire wall that faces the road a window. I’m not talking about a small window, this thing has two windows that are 15 feet tall and 6 feet wide each. These windows vibrated and let in every noise a car made. After being woken up with only an hour of sleep by the first of three ambulances at midnight, I felt like a submarine sonar operator by 2 am as I could identify each vehicle by its distinct sound signature. I was supposed to be at this place for two nights, but I will most likely cancel my second night and just drive the 5 hours back home after my activities for the day to keep from having to stay another night in this place! I read some other reviews about this place and noticed the noise is a problem, but when the “owners” or whom ever comments back, they simply say there’s nothing we can do about external noise. This tells me they know they built a hotel for aesthetics, and not the comfort of their paying customers.
