I will not attend another event at this hotel. It was so organized and crowded. We paid for the expensive tickets were supposed to have food available. Friday night the hotel 'forgot' and didn't have anything until people started complaining so they 'allowed us' to get a $15 Togo salad or sandwich for the $10 meal ticket. Salad dressing not included unless you ask and complain. Then Saturday the only hot food was a $7 hotdog. A couple of the staff members were mad that we had $10 food vouchers to use. I asked for two soda cans for $2/each and two bags of chips for $3/each and the guy looked to his coworker and said we aren't charging enough for this. About 30 minutes later they were closed (at two in the afternoon when people were getting hungry) and they came back with tiny bags of chips (still for $3/bag) and they raised the cost of a can of soda to $3.

The parking is definitely a situation that needs to be handled when events happen. You're telling me parking is 17 dollars a day, but if an event happens (Like trading card con) and I can't find parking even though I'm a guest and majority of other people where just visiting for the event, which on their fb page (CARDS AND MORE TOUR) it says FREE PARKING. I would have to park in a different parking lot. Parking should be free for people staying at the hotel. Aside from that , the rooms are gross and outdated. The toilet seat is pealing , the fridge was rusted and dirty inside. Housekeeping didn't even clean our rooms. They made one bed out of two, didn't vacuum the carpet, all that was done was one out of two beds and the trash taken out. Breakfast was nasty, soggy and flavorless.

We reserved a block of rooms at a reduced rate with embassy suites for our youngest son's wedding. Lina and Maggie made the contracting process through booking rooms smooth and took care of every request promptly. We have previously stayed at other embassy suites and love the large interior atrium whether you have one room or several. In our case, we had several family members and friends coming from out of town, so this hotel worked out great being close to the airport and the rooms being equipped to sleep 6. The complimentary breakfast with the made to order omelet was great with many options to start the day out. The staff was very friendly, especially the grill cook, and we looked forward to seeing him every morning. We also met a special needs staff member clearing the tables, so it warmed our hearts that the embassy suites has expanded its community reach to include this segment of society and provide work opportunities and purpose. The managers evening hour was also an added bonus and the large atrium became our gathering area for eating, socializing and playing games. With all the rooms facing the atrium, it was awesome to be able to look down to see who might be on the main floor. The mind blowing experience is what happened the wedding night. We had reserved a corner room for our son and his bride, but Sybrina at the front desk called the prior day to ask if we would prefer to use the presidential suite on the 8th floor at the same price, so that was a wonderful surprise for the wedding couple. The only downside was that there is a parking fee, but there were many positives that outweigh the fee, so we would definitely recommend this hotel and will come back when in the area.

To whom it may concern, I travel extensively for business and spend approximately 200 nights per year in hotels. I would like to recognize Manager Cheryll, Assistant Manager Kristi, and Alex at the front desk for their outstanding professionalism, courtesy, and commitment to guest service. Their consistent attentiveness and genuine hospitality reflect the highest standards of excellence. Experiences like this are the reason I have remained a loyal Hilton Honors member for more than twenty years. Please extend my sincere appreciation to each of them for representing your property and brand so exceptionally well. Respectfully, Brad Smith

Alex was absolutely fantastic I want that to be known first! We were there for a week at a business training. On Monday they were met with the trouble of trying to place hundreds of people into rooms and ran into a personnel problem with not being able to clean all rooms. They handled this fabulously! They were able to work it out with other hotels close by to get everyone accommodated. They knocked that out of the park with the time frame they had! All of our food from the breakfast, the lunches and the dinners were all above expectations! My son is still talking about the omelettes for breakfast! The pool was heated and it had great availability, (not over crowded or anything) it was clean and I never had an issue with it all week! Lobby was always very nice and clean and welcoming! We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar during happy hour and the bar tender was amazing! After our first drink she remembered what we wanted each time we went ( the entire week) she was so kind!!! Our rooms were clean the property felt safe for my vehicle, and we were able to check in early and out late which was AMAZING for us driving from so far (10 hrs). Location was great, lots of food and stores around within a 5 minute drive. I was only 30 ish minutes from another training I had so the location was very accommodating!! I had the pleasure of dealing with Alex multiple times and even told him he's going to hate me by the end of the week to wich he joked back about how the week started. Definitely one of the friendliest people I met in Kansas City
