  We travel a LOT for work- live in hotels more than we stay at home. I was VERY impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. The pool and hot tub are outdated but very very clean, both were heated and this hot tub was actually HOT! Which was so nice. Breakfast was amazing, more options than most places. I will be honest, I was nervous to stay at a best western but this was an outstanding hotel. Staff was very friendly and I was very comfortable. Wish the rest of the hotels we stayed at this entire last week were this nice.

  Edit: The service was great (extra shout-out to the front desk person in the morning), the room was great for the price, but the hotel's policy of not renting to locals is not ok. I understand that sometimes locals are a source of damage and extra costs, but please consider those escaping from a situation at home. I was not in an emergency situation thankfully, but I am concerned as if I had been as I (and many others) have been there before. I'm happy to accept an extra deposit of some sort for the risk, but please think of those vulnerable people who aren't able to go far enough away from home to not be considered a "local". In short, the service deserves 5 stars and the staff was great, not their fault in any way, but please reconsider this policy of "No Locals". Thank you!

  Update (in response): I do not believe it was bed bugs as I dont have any rash like or bites on me. My guess was the detergent. However, I use Original Tide at home. Perhaps it was one of the scented versions of Tide (the floral makes me itchy). The tile was most certainly loose as I stepped on it and could feel it wiggle. Perhaps the carpets were cleaned recently, as you state, but were oversaturated and didnt dry properly, they were crunchy underneath my feet. And I appreciate your approval to stay wherever I would like. Polite staff and decent breakfast. Not sure if it was bed bugs, but I was itchy and felt like I had things crawling all over me once I layed down. A lot of noise from the highway. Carpets haven't been cleaned in years, had that crunchy feel and sound to them. No USB ports, no sleep timer on television. Floor tiles in bathroom need grout, can feel them move underneath your feet. For $100+ per night, just get an air bnb. Or go stay at The Doubletree (way better location).
