    I have honestly never been more degraded by anyone in my life as I was by this proporties manager. There is no excuse for such treatment of anyone- let alone a paying customer. He comented on aspects of my lifestyle that were quite honestly none of his business. Cleaning staff was bad as well- they regularly found excuses to not do their jobs. Managment treated me as if I were a criminal and kicked me out of my room because of a simple misunderstanding. I will never stay at another IHG property in my life let alone this facility. The way mangment conducts itself is absolutly inexcisable- I experienced blatent and intense discrimination and I am honestly concerned for you as well. I am an easygoing and acomodating customer that never has any disputes. This is the first bad review I have ever left in my life. Please do not stay here. Seriously I am concerned for your well being. Literaly the only positive of this property were the asistant front desk staff who unlike the manager were exceptionaly kind and professional.

    Everything about this place has been good, the room is great, has stove pot's and pan's, glasses, silverware etc. Full size refrigerator, microwave. There's a indoor pool, a small store, friendly staff, clean rooms, just a great place, the list goes on, iron ironing board, work out room. I recommend this place a 10 out of 10.

    I try to get room during the snow day since work the nightshift so call the reservation desk around 5.30 explain then I was going to rent the room from 7 am 6 30pm only I need to asleep before my shift the told me I can make reservation at 3pm I have to be out by 11am when I was not going be room all night because I work night I need the room from 7am to 6pm he shut the phone in me very rude did not let me explain him I need the hotel for during the day to asleep we are nursing workers he shut the phone in me I yes the don't want are money the rules in hours need change special was nursing we work night we need the hotel for 12 hours to asleep before are shift. Very rude that person shut the phone. They losing money not let people check in early in the morning.

    Disgruntled Review for Candlewood Suites – Cape Girardeau, MO My experience at this Candlewood Suites was nothing short of a nightmare. During my stay, several thousand dollars worth of my personal belongings were stolen. I immediately contacted management, expecting at least basic concern or assistance, but they were completely unhelpful. Their response ranged from dismissive to outright rude, and at no point did they take any meaningful action. I filed a police report, but given the small-town dynamics, it quickly became clear that the police and hotel management were far too familiar with each other for anything to be taken seriously. The lack of accountability was astonishing. I also reached out to IHG, only to be told that this location is individually owned and operated—meaning they couldn’t intervene. So essentially, guests are left at the mercy of a management team that is unpredictable, unprofessional, and seemingly uninterested in guest safety or property security. I would strongly caution anyone considering a stay here. The environment felt lawless, the management was hostile, and there was zero support when a serious incident occurred. I’ve stayed at many IHG properties over the years, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
