- BSBen ShakmanFeb 5, 20264.0Moving reviews over from Yelp. Originally published 10/22/16 and I got a nice note from the manager in response. Recently remodeled and it feels like a brand new hotel. Here are a couple of highlights: + Called while enroute from dinner to ask them to expedite check-in. I walked in the door and handed the desk clerk my credit card. He already had my room keys made up and handed them to me. It was less than a minute from the time I walked in the door until I was in the elevator. + Room was spotless. + Bathroom had a fan - I really hate getting out of the shower and having the mirror all steamed-up. + Great water pressure in the shower. + Checkout was even faster - handed the clerk my business card and the room keys. She had emailed me the receipt before I made it to the car. The only down-side is something they cannot control. I went for my morning run/walk at about 6am and the smell of baking bread from the Sara Lee plant across the parking lot damn near killed me. I did manage to keep breakfast reasonable but it was a challenge after smelling that delicious smell while trying to get some exercise.

They assured me that my reservation had been altered and I could go back to my room, I trusted their word. (Yes I bought travel insurance) I waited the 7-10 days for my refund with no avail. Now both parties will not respond. Thanks Holiday Inn express in Roseville and Booking.com for charging me for a room that wasn't ever used.
