- SKSamantha KretschmerDec 30, 20251.0This place is a 1 star hotel in a 3 star dress. Upon arriving to our room we inspected our bedding and found the sheet to have massive stains of some kind and body hair. We called the front desk and asked for the bedding to be changed and we went to grab food. An hour later when we arrived, no one had been there so we call again and verify what we need and the size of the bed. The front desk clerk Nico(and his terrible attitude) arrives with a fitted and top sheet hands it to us and leaves. It was a queen size. My husband goes down to get a replacement and Nico comes back with just a king fitted and we explain that we need a fitted, top and four pillowcases. Nico comes back with just a top sheet. After explaining that the housekeeping manager locks the sheet cabinet when she leaves we finally convince him to go to another room and steal the pillowcases, he brings two. When we woke up in the morning we went to the front desk and to their credit they comped our room and allowed us to cancel the rest of our stay. We moved across the street to the Hilton garden and I recommend everyone reading this review to book elsewhere because the housekeeping is sub par and the night staff are unhelpful and apathetic.

But they do have a free shuttle that will drive you to the front of the Mayo building you need to go to. Rooms were good, and the Crave is a great stop for food and drinks right at the hotel.

I booked a room with a King sized bed for myself and my husband, we got put in a room with one queen sized bed. The front desk clerk was very rude and dismissive, he acted like we should know where to go on our first time staying here. The smell of the hotel is is unusual and cloying, it made me nauseous. Our daughters, granddaughter, and son in laws live here, so we will be coming to stay in Rochester frequently but we will be staying elsewhere after this experience, I'm sorry to say.

The room was extremely comfortable with high-quality pillows, comforters, and spa-level shampoo and conditioner. They even provided a full ironing board and iron. Everything felt thoughtful and stress-free. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely stay here again.
