I write this review in hopes to catch the eye of the Management.
Last week- I had a 5 night stay at this hotel booked via Expedia for my family & I. As always, I book non refundable as I have for years. Never have I walked away from a booking or was a no show. Yet unfortunately, a family member of ours (father in law) with a terminal illness had gotten REALLY bad health wise and was hospitalized. Unfortunately as a result, we could not leave and make our booking. I reached out to Expedia, they promised they would do their best to reach out to the hotel and asked me to do the same, which I did- but with no answer to neither me nor Expedia. That family member did pass and would’ve passed while we were away had we gone.
I get it- I booked non refundable and those fares have rules. Not once in my life had I cancelled plans last minute. But I would hope that management realizes that just like they have family- so do other people. In my message, I even told them they didn’t have to refund and simply just return the credit back to their hotel if possible as I planned to return to Minneapolis in a couple of months!!! I don’t want the money back I just was looking for at least a credit with the same hotel.
Just because there are certain rules doesn’t mean those rules can’t be bent in really minor circumstances. I’m willing to prove and bring all documentation to show what I’m saying is true- and at this point I will never stay at a Hampton Brand (or Hilton brand) again.
Just as a side note btw- all other bookings I had have accommodated me and either issued credits or refunds. It’s just this hotel that’s refused to discuss this outright.

It is the perfect location for the Target center activities and parking. The rooms were clean and nice. We had a basic queen room and we were there for two nights. Very nice experience. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Everyone that we had contact we very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely stay again when I can.

The manager, M. Shannon was amazing. She went above and beyond to provide excellent and wonderful service. The rooms were clean. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was meh. The back patio was clean and even had a spot for the dogs. A little rocky with a patch of potty pad grass. It is fenced in which was nice. I would stay again if we were in Minneapolis.
