Didn't really interact with the front desk . The van driver lady in the early morning was very pleasant I would come back just because of her.

Our waitress was amazing she made our dining experience very pleasant. The beds were a plus as well very comfortable. The room was clean and tidy. Can't wait to get back.

My vehicle got broken into the first night I was there. They have a 24 hour on-duty officer, so this is clearly a known issue. The thieves overturned absolutely everything in the vehicle, trashing the truck, turning out every single pocket in every bag/nook/glove box, took half my toiletrees, my car keys (my car was at home 3 hours away) and some other items plus left someone else's sunglasses and lip gloss behind. When we told the front desk/security, we were told they were looking for drugs/cash. Given the apparent frequency with which this happens, I'm shocked they don't better secure the parking ramp. The bathrooms havent been updated since at least the 80s, so the door knob stuck, trapping both me in the bathroom. After 5 minutes of me, my husband and my son trying to break me free, I finally got out and we all had to use the bathroom with the door open for the remainder of the trip. Most disappointingly, I've tried 4 different phone numbers to try to reach the front desk directly to see if they were able to recover any of my stolen items, but there doesn't seem to be a way to reach this location directly. I most definitely will not be returning to this location at any pricepoint.

We had the very most expensive room in the hotel. Jacuzzi in the room. Overlooking the pool (the fact that you cannot get any light from outside of the room because the windows look out where everyone can see your every move is NOT a great feature especially for a room at that price point. But what was the kicker was the lack of cleanliness within the room and even worse that when speaking to the person so the front desk AND to the manager - they were kinda like “too bad/so sad”. There wasn’t any sort of any resolution or offer suggested or asked. Arriving to the pubic hairs in the bathroom - one on the seat. Visible dust on the ledges - including off items hanging on the walls. Ledge of baseboards also visible not cleaned and the corners of the bathroom appeared as if the dirty had been moved into them for safe keeping. There were a few more things we noted to staff - but it’s too long after our stay for me to recall the rest. We’ve stayed here virtually every year since 2015 - other than those windows we do not like - we’ve never had a complaint. We ordered room service as well and the bill was LARGE - for the meal not coming as we asked, without necessary seasoning and utensils. This is an expensive restaurant as well - for them to not be able to manage 3 complete matching sets of flatware bothered me - especially given it was cheap quality flimsy that arrived - we know they have appropriate flatware because we always eat there - but IN the restaurant. The flatware is a big deal to me (and I explained when I ordered ) I am autistic & not having heavier flatware is a huge sensory deal for me. I actually usually travel with my own but somehow forgot. That’s my specific issue - but I think an establishment where two meals is going to be $100+ before tip should offer the full atmospheric experience you’d expect at that price. Same for the room. $450ish dollars and they came clean by industry standards? I have no intention of coming back. Though - the stainless steel pool is breathtaking! It WOULD be nice, however. given that they don’t have late hours for the pool or the hot tub – that they would cut off pool time for children like under 18 at a set time so that there would be some adult time to relax. No one ever monitors who is in that hot tub and there’s not supposed to be children in there - the children are always playing in it. Frankly it’s a well used pool – so it’s always hustle and bustling with a lot of play & so forth - which is wonderful. Still, there are also a lot of adults coming who are wanting a little staycation and some relaxation. I enjoy family and children time - but when I’m there I’m there for a short staycation for peace tranquility and adult chill time. Sharing and splitting time seems reasonable.

One heck of a value in the heart of downtown Duluth. This full service hotel boasts pools, public spaces, and a fabulous restaurant. Room nooks and crannies are a tiny bit rough around the edges, but not ragged or dirty at all. Very comfortable beds and an amazing view of the harbor (worth it to pay extra for a lake view). Overall, zero complaints and highly recommended! A++++++
