I wanted to start by praising the consistently friendly and helpful staff. Every interaction — whether checking in, asking a question, or simply passing through the lobby — has been warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive.
The hotel sits just across the street from the Mall of America to the southeast, but one thing to note is that it isn’t actually visible from the corner. It’s tucked behind the very bright red WhirlyBall building, and Google Maps can be a bit misleading by placing the pin up in that parking lot. The building is also shared with another hotel, so you’ll see separate key fobs for the gym and laundry — just tap the correct one for your hotel and everything works smoothly.
The facilities are clean, modern, and clearly updated; the bright color scheme gives the property a refreshed look. The rooms are impressively spacious — more like studios — and come with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and utensils. If you want to cook, you can even request a burner from the front desk.
The gym is one of the highlights. It’s open 24/7 with your key fob and is well-equipped. The free guest laundry is another standout feature — extremely rare and very convenient. You can bring your own detergent or purchase some downstairs. The bed is very comfortable, there’s plenty of hot water, and the overall room setup makes it easy to settle in.
A few practical notes:
• The Wi-Fi can be a bit fussy if you’re using a VPN or sticking with the non-premium version, and you may find yourself re-entering information more often than expected.
• Parking is available for $10 a day.
• The breakfast buffet is offered, but it leans toward standard hotel fare rather than healthy options — instant oatmeal (original) is the closest thing to it. The upside is there’s always coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available in the lobby.
• There’s a swimming pool that appears well-maintained, though I haven’t used it yet.
For pedestrians, the main intersection leading to the Mall of America can take a while to cycle, so expect some longer waits when crossing. The good news is that transportation access is excellent. The Blue Line light rail and several bus routes stop at the Mall of America, making it easy to get to the airport, downtown, or anywhere else you need to go.
Overall, this hotel delivers comfort, friendliness, and convenience, especially for travelers who value space, solid amenities, and easy access to transit. Tip: look for the Big Bird 😎

Pretty, quiet place, rooms spotless, van service to airport and Mall of America, both less than 5 min away. 24 hour coffee, pool table, hang out area, hot breakfast, gym with modern equipment. Travel to Minneapolis often, this place will get a return.
