The reason I only gave three stars instead of 5 is because…. We stayed here before when my son was airlifted to HCMH. We were very impressed with how clean the rooms were that my family stayed in. And thought for sure we would stay again. This last stay we booked for three days. Unfortunately, this stay wasn’t as good! The pool and hot tub were closed for repairs (one reason I wanted to stay here because I am disabled and the water really helps my condition especially the hot tub) the heater in our room was very loud and we couldn’t control the temp. We called the front desk to ask if there was a way that we could be switched to a different room. The front desk would pick up the phone and put us immediately on hold. As I patiently waited on hold for about 5-7 minutes. I got hung up on. So I figured the front desk might be just busy. I made my way down and spoke to Brittney about the heater and she was great about getting us into another room. She asked us to go look at the room to be sure it was ok. We went to the room and you could tell it was not Cleaned. The bed and pillows were a mess. The garbage had not been emptied and the room cards were still on the desk. So that pretty much told us it was not cleaned. We made our way back down to tell her that it wasn’t up to standards, and how it was far from being cleaned! While I waited for her to come back from whatever room she was in down the hallway. (And it wasn’t the office) there were 5 people who were also waiting to check in. They said that they called numerous times to confirm check in and nobody would answer the phone. We did end up getting into another room that was up to standards. The only complaint on that room was the smell of skunk which I believe to have been weed coming from another room next door. The first time we stayed here the breakfast was phenomenal. Great choices. Better than the Hilton we stayed at previously. This last time the omelets were like rubber and I almost got burnt by that pan that was just sitting on a plate warmer not secured at all. The potatoes that were served tasted good, but they were sticking to the pan and difficult to serve up! (Maybe some Pam spray could be used) We didn’t complain while we were there and maybe we could have. Not sure if we would stay here again. Maybe, if we were given a discounted stay for another time to try?? The whole thing is. We also bragged about our first stay to friends who also booked here and I was kinda embarrassed as they had some issues as well, but not to the extent of ours. Just being honest! Have a great day.

Great location close to shopping mall and upscale stores. Loved the warm pool!!! The free breakfast was similar to most and good. Cozy and quiet! The room was unique. ☺️

I stayed here for the weekend and coming in the first thing I smelt was marijuana. Then I was issued keys that didn't open my room number. And I went outside to have a cigarette respecting that you can't smoke at this location and was locked out I had to walk all the way around to the front to get new keys cuz they were deactivated when I rented a room for more than one day. Also the USB in the room didn't work. The only thing good I have to say about this location is there breakfast is good.. also the young man that was at the counter was very nice. The restaurant next door is only open if they have somebody to work. It snowed when we were there and the sidewalks were not shoveled.

Here is my message to management which has not been responded to after 4 days I had a highly unacceptable Stay at your hotel this past weekend. Made through hotels.com reservation # 73352949424450. I specifically called and asked if the hot tub was operational and was told YES. Upon arrival the hot tub was broken. This is the primary reason we booked your hotel. Additionally there were several unsafe conditions. Lots of slippery ice right out the front entrance with no attempt to remove, a security latch on the doors that was barely held in place by the screws, a heating unit that smelled and made a very loud noise. The outdoor entrance next to Denny's would not work with a key card. Very dangerous in the cold temps! Frozen windows with ice one them letting cold air into the room. The pool was freezing and the pool door was letting cold air and ice in. Everything was dirty and run down. There were guests fighting in the hallways and slamming doors. I could go on... I can't believe Best Western would allow their name to be on this hotel or that hotels.com would allow it on their website. I am demanding half of my money back as just compensation for inaccurate photos, imenity listings, and broken and unsafe conditions. More than fair. Please let me know if I can expect this compensation and what you will be doing to resolve these serious issues.
