Last week, they cancelled my reservation due to damage to a part of the hotel. Not the whole place! I would have thought the reservation would be honored and just given me another room!!
- RSRon SmithJul 4, 20255.0Due to a tornado that ripped through Bemidji a week and a half earlier, we were unable to stay at this location however, when we pulled into the parking lot, we were met by Ryan. Ryan confused to see us greeted us at the front door and explained that the hotel had been destroyed in a weather event. Ryan went out of his way to recommend a competing hotel where me and my family could stay the night. We immediately contacted IHG to try to resolve the problem. When they blew us off, we contacted Ryan who immediately took care of the situation. I cannot thank Ryan and his staff enough for that customer service. Ryan knows how to take care of his customers and it shows. If ever back in Bemidji, MN we will make sure to stay at this location. When this location is rebuild/renovated, I highly recommend staying here.

The customer service was hit or miss; at times, I encountered staff who were helpful, while other times, I was attended to by an older lady who seemed disinterested in assisting. I had to request a room refresh twice before it was taken care of. Additionally, I was frustrated by the loud TV in the outdoor grill area, which continued to play until early morning. I ended up having to call the front desk at 3:30 AM to request that it be turned off. Finally, I noticed that there weren't enough utensils in the kitchen.
