    I stayed on December 31 for my daughter’s birthday and I have a few different complaints. 1st the lamp shades/lamps and table tops were dusty but I paid that minimal attention. After having kids over jumping in the beds and playing all together when I was time to go to bed we pulled the pull out couch and there were body marks all over the mattress sheet. The cover was filthy. Like that was just not cleaned AT ALL. Then the mattress sheets after pulling the sheets back to inspect the bed had spots all over the dang on sheets. My kids played in those sheets. When I reported they told me to come get sheets they were out of covers and change it myself. After all of that, I complain to the manager Tony. She offered free breakfast or rewards points. I told her I didn’t feel that that was enough compensation so she gave me $33 back. Saying that was the fee for the bed. The issue I have with that is what about the pay for me having to do housekeeping job, what about the pay for kids being exposed to whatever the heck was in the bed and not finding out until hours later. I NEED TO BE COMPENSATED CORRECTLY. That was absolutely unacceptable. I 100% will not be visiting this hotel again and I strongly encourage no one else to book there. In addition to all of that, when we went to the pool, they didn’t have any towels available when I went to the front desk to ask for some the ladies told me they didn’t have any, and she could not provide me with a room towels, so my kids were basically out of luck.

    This hotel is extremely dated and dirty. The bathrooms need to be remodeled. There needs to be smart tvs in the rooms not some dated wide back tv’s which only have basic cable. The price per night is outrageous for the quality. My children used the pool and stated the water had a foul smell. The pool area was dirty, old socks left behind, used cups and wet towels. I asked the reception staff if I could have some extra blankets as we know Michigan gets really cold and was told none were available due to the laundry staff. She didn’t even try to accommodate me or find a solution. I will not be back!

    UNSAFE AND UNFRIENDLY!! Families stay away. Our stay was extremely disappointing. The staff was unfriendly from the moment we arrived, and the hotel did not feel family-friendly at all. When we walked to the 3rd floor for our assigned room we smell marijuana all over and immediately went down to change floors, and despite bringing it to the manager’s attention, they were completely in denial. To make things worse, people were screaming and causing disturbances late into the night, we couldn’t get any sleep. The overall attitude from the staff was careless and unprofessional. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families looking for a safe and comfortable stay.

    To start things off the hotel representative Juanita was the best And outstanding and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay… The downside was the pool was dirty and outdated… To later being woke up out my sleep at 12 in the morning to my daughter, screaming about a bug to finding out the hotel had roaches … We spent the next three hours shaking out our bags, making sure we didn’t take none home to our new remodel house…. to be honest, I don’t think I will ever rent this Hotel again…. I will leave another review to let you guys know how they accommodated us

    My family and I stayed at this hotel from November 26 to November 28, 2025, and while the stay started off pleasantly, it quickly became disappointing and frustrating. Upon checking in, I was unexpectedly told that I had to pay a deposit. I was never informed of this beforehand, so I asked the front desk clerk if I could speak with a supervisor for clarification. She told me there was no manager available and that there was no one else I could talk to. I went ahead and paid the deposit, but the issue became more concerning when I discovered that my friend—who booked the same dates—was not charged a deposit at all. This inconsistency made me feel singled out and confused. Later that evening, I sent my son and my friend’s two sons downstairs to get towels. They returned and told us that the front desk clerk had gotten into an argument with them. When we went downstairs to understand what happened, the clerk (Juanita) called my nephew a “smart butt ” ( she used a profanity) and said, “I have kids too, and your son is a smart butt ( used profanity here) ,” which was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. When I calmly told her that her behavior toward us was inappropriate and unprofessional, she threatened to call the police. I told her she was welcome to do so, as I had done nothing wrong and simply expected respect as a paying customer. The following day, things didn’t improve. The restaurant was closed, and the morning front desk clerk was very standoffish. Again, customer service seemed to be lacking overall. The pool was also closed, which was extremely disappointing as the pool was the reason we chose this hotel for Thanksgiving so the kids could enjoy it. When I asked if there was a time frame for when it would reopen, I was told, “I don’t know,” with an attitude. By this point, I was already ready for the stay to be over. I asked to speak with a manager again, and was told that the manager, Tony, was off. The same clerk who initially disrespected us refused to provide any contact information for him. Overall, this stay was far from what we expected—especially during a holiday. The lack of communication, inconsistent policies, unprofessional behavior from staff, and multiple closed amenities made this experience extremely disappointing. I hope management addresses these issues so future guests do not have the same experience. I will be canceling my membership. I will give all props to Dolly for the great Room service and laundry. I appreciate you so much for your help with my room service.
