    Diamond in the food and service department was absolutely wonderful and a total asset to your organization. It is hard to find great customer service and she was exceptional. Thank you for hiring a great employee

    Staff is exceptionally friendly & helpful! Really enjoyed the fresh breakfast & the helpfulness of the staff in the breakfast area! Mark, the manager was quick to welcome everyone who walked in & helped them find items they wanted. Judy & Russell were also terrific! The team was a breath of fresh air on a busy travel time for myself. Mark & his team made me feel like I was home! Great job!!

    Front desk, Mark, very accommodating, pleasant, and efficient. We visited the bar area in the evening and found it to be clean and relaxing. The bartender, Retina (?), was friendly and quick to serve all customers. In the morning, the breakfast was very good. Hot, fresh, and a great variety of choices. Mark, the chef/manager provided great customer service and a delicious breakfast buffet.

    I stayed at the Holiday Inn & Suites Detroit - Troy beginning December 30th and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I booked a room for five guests, but upon arrival I was given a room that did not properly accommodate five people. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk agent, I was told they did not have any rooms that fit five people. I explained that I had previously stayed at this property with the same number of guests in a room with two beds and a pullout couch. The agent then stated that I had booked a room with two queens. I showed her my booking confirmation in the app clearly indicating five guests. She dismissively told me to “give her a minute” while she looked for another room. Eventually, we were assigned a room that fit everyone. However, when we entered, we found that a blanket and two pillowcases were visibly dirty. I called the front desk and was told I needed to come downstairs to get clean replacements. No apology was offered. When preparing to shower, we discovered there were only three sets of towels for five guests, so I had to return to the front desk again. The agent had a consistently poor attitude and behaved as though assisting guests was an inconvenience. Later that evening, we discovered there was no bedding for the pullout couch, requiring yet another trip downstairs. Each time I approached the desk, the agent was on FaceTime and never disconnected the call while assisting me. The following morning, I reported these issues. The manager came out, explained she was new, and apologized for the interactions. She stated that 5,000 IHG points would be applied to my account for the inconvenience. As of today, February 20th, I have still not received the promised points. I have called the hotel at least four times, and I am repeatedly told the manager is unavailable but that the points are pending approval. I have also contacted IHG’s Guest Relations three times. After escalating the matter with Guest Relations, the hotel emailed me asking that I explain the issues I experienced during my stay. I declined to do so, as I have already spoken with the hotel no fewer than four times regarding these same concerns. Requiring me to restate the details yet again demonstrates a lack of internal communication and accountability. I was a Platinum member for years, but this experience, compounded by the hotel’s continued failure to fulfill a clearly promised resolution, reflects a serious breakdown in service standards and accountability. I have completely lost confidence in this property and in IHG Hotels & Resorts’ commitment to customer loyalty.

    My husband and I stayed at the Troy Mi. location for a work trip. I was not impressed with the restaurant that evening, as I could not find anyone to answer questions, and was left waiting for someone to come from the kitchen when I was ready to place an order, finally after waiting for 15 minutes, and no closer to even ordering, and being so tired from traveling all day, I left I am only leaving 5 stars because of a young lady named "Kennedy" that was working in the breakfast area the next morning. She had a beautiful dimpled 😁 smile, and was pleasant, professional, and accommodating. She is a great asset to your company! She deserves a raise, don't let her go. Good help is not easy to find.
