As it’s only a few miles from my job, it saves me 82 164 miles every time I stay. Also being a college student at NMC, my attendance regardless of weather between the two are important, making my needs for a stay huge. After staying at multiple other hotels, I wasn’t met with complete satisfaction. Last winter, I stayed at Avid once, and made my decision that Avid was the place to choose every time. This Hotel specifically seems to have minimal amenities, however the stay is grandeur. Avid always goes above and beyond to make my easy night just that much better. I’ve had minor issues, however they were resolved immediately and swiftly. Huge kudos for the lovely front desk crew, as no matter the issue I present to them, they have a solution so that way I can continue my stay. Probably the first hotel in Traverse City to present a professional atmosphere at a great price, an amazing location, without the snarky Traverse attitude. Forever my stay if needed here 🫶

A weekend getaway could not have been nicer. A great place to spend time in Traverse City.
When I originally booked my room, I was unaware that there was a whole hockey team staying valentine weekend, so my first night, which was FEB 13, 2026, was very unenjoyable. The guests above my room were very loud and rude. Banging on floor all hours of the night, even waking me up at 2:30 and 4:00 in the morning by the sounds of them, what I am assuming was wrestling considering it sounded as if someone was being tossed around. I addressed the lady at the guest desk next morning which was FEB 14,2026 and that is when I was told about the YOUTH hockey team. I was not compensated or anything due to the lack of communication when I checked in. It would have been nice to be aware that the whole building was going to be full of loud and rude children who like to bang on floor all hours of the night, at least I could have got a refund through my app and went elsewhere. I was told I could get points towards a room but was never given information to where I would go to get that started. The Manager did in fact change my room to the top floor for my second night, which was more relaxing then the first night.
Great hotel. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Great breakfast!

Newer hotel. This my second stay on this location. Both visits, filters on HVAC unit NOT CLEANED. If you have never checked these I RECOMMEND YOU DO. Your breathing in someone ( multiple someone's) else's hair, smell, dust, gross❗ Room did not have HVAC on, so it was chili in room. Usually with non low budget hotels, they have HVAC on and usually mints on our pillows.
FYI take pictures upon arrival to room. Both visits there was disgusting stains "UNADDRESSED, UNKNOWN" to staff. Not getting charged their incidental fee for lack of inspection by staff. This will be OUR last choice visit in TVCA for now on.
