It’s right across the street from a stunning view of Lake Michigan, with a couple of picnic tables set on a bluff overlooking the water. For me, that’s the real selling point — and the reason I keep coming back.

Our room was disgusting..Old nasty furniture and mold in bathroom on both corners of the tub walls .pubic hair on soap dish and tub was filty..Closet door was broke stayed open with large glass mirror on it and my husband walked into the closet door with his head on middle of the night . nose the bathroom . This is not acceptable! I Took numerous photos told the staff and only got 15 percent off ..Will never go back to this hotel and had to put one star so this could be seen . Don’t deserve any stars !!!

Being right across from Lake Michigan was amazing. We got a room with a lake view, and watching the sunset from our balcony was easily the highlight of our trip. It's also super close to downtown St. Joe, so we could walk to shops and restaurants easily. The room itself was decent. The bed was really comfortable, which was a huge plus after a long day of walking around. The view, like I said, was spectacular. The only downside was that being right on Lakeshore Drive meant there was a surprising amount of traffic noise, even at night, which kind of took away from the peacefulness of the lake view. Also, you could tell the hotel has been around for a while; some of the furniture was a bit worn and the room felt like it could use a little updating. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was pretty standard for a Holiday Inn Express – a good way to start the day. All in all, it was a good stay. I'd recommend it if your top priorities are the view and being close to the action. If you're looking for something super modern or quiet, you might want to look elsewhere, but for a classic lakeside trip, it gets the job done.
