Experience seems mostly based on the room received. We recently had a work trip which included over 30 rooms. More than half of us had only 3-4 minutes of hot water and decent water pressure. My room included this issue and also the heat went out in the middle of the night with an error on the thermostat (below freezing temps outside). Staff did not know how to reset it and had to wait for maintenance several hours later. When he met with me I asked him how to reset it if it happened again, and it was so simple it's wild that all staff would not be aware of how to handle that situation. One of two elevators continuously went out. The hotel lobby had no heat the night we arrived due to a busted pipe, that's an unfortunate and unusual situation, but again, a hotel in a freezing climate should have back up of sufficient heaters to manage if heat goes out. The ONLY redeeming quality for this hotel is that all the staff were very friendly. I sincerely couldn't believe Hilton has their brand name on this situation. If they don't want to invest in restoring it, sell it and let it be the motel that it is currently.

If customer service alone determined hotel ratings, this place would be five stars. The staff was phenomenal. The woman with black hair and blue eyes who served our meals the first night was an absolute superstar. Now for the rest. There was no heat in the lobby, so we got the full Pure Michigan winter experience immediately upon arrival. The shower water temperature could be described as “refreshing” if you’re training for a polar plunge. One coworker discovered bed bugs apparently they were trying to stay warm too. Another had her room heat go out and it wasn’t fixed until the following evening. Someone else got stuck in the elevator, which really strengthened our team bonding experience. Nothing says corporate retreat like texting “if I don’t make it, tell my family I love them.” My shower screamed like it was being personally offended the entire time it ran, and the TV had no service it was more of a decorative appliance. In summary: the staff deserves five stars. The building needs a full intervention.

The staff was the only thing that made the stay decent. My room: dirty walls, doors, coffee maker, bath ceiling and shower. Pillows and bed were uncomfortable, thin comforters. Lobby: No heat our first night, only 1 elevator was working 3/4 days. Dirty elevators. Also, a friend of mine had bed bugs in their room.

The only thing i can say is the room was decent but overall i will not book this hotel again ! The hotub did not work , the pool or the area was not clean , it was cigarette buds just laying on the floor in the bar area , the bar or restaurant was never open and i arrived @3 they have signs up that the pool was on the 2nd floor and it wasn’t it was all the way on the first floor , so we was looking around on the 2nd floor for 30 minutes! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST!!!! Its a extra fee if you don’t get the (breakfast package) 0/10 do not recommend

The outward appearance of this hotel looks nice, however its’s lipstick on a pig. When we initially entered our room, there was feces on the toilet seat. Thank goodness there was a gentleman at the front desk who could help resolve this issue, since upon check in, the woman at the front desk told me I’d have to hold my questions and requests until 9am and speak with someone else. We were there for 3 days and each time I went to the front desk, the same unhelpful woman was there, so I was never able to resolve our issues. In addition to feces on the toilet seat, the thermostat read ‘ERR’ and could not be adjusted, and the water in the shower was ice cold a few minutes after turning it on. I’d also wanted to extend our stay an additional night and again, the same woman told me she couldn’t help and I’d have to wait until 9am. I then decided I’d simply request a late checkout and move to another hotel, and when I did go to the front desk at 9am as I was directed, the woman denied the late checkout request. I’d like to add that the decor of the hotel is updated, but it’s dirty. Someone should be mopping tile floors in the common areas regularly and the carpet in my room needed cleaning. I’d never recommend anyone stay here.
