  Needs maintenence in the rooms. Mine had major tear in curtain so you couldn't do a good job blocking light.

  First time staying at this IHG property, and booked it because of the excellent location to Detroit Metro. The hotel is easy to find, has ample parking, and a free shuttle to and from Detroit Metro. I forgot to get the employee's name who was working when we had arrived, but she was absolutely wonderful, friendly, and provided excellent customer service. This was on Thursday April 2nd in the evening. As good as the service was, the hotel was loud and dated, especially in the bathroom. Curtains in our room were worn down, and there were noticeable signs of wear and tear. You could hear people running, stomping, and slamming doors, which made for only an OK sleep. Since our flight was so early, we didn't experience breakfast, but there is a large dining area and the food options looked excellent. Check out was simple and we were on our way. Overall, a pleasant stay and great location, but the hotel could definitely use an upgrade. Easy choice if you're using Detroit Metro, just make sure you book a time slot when you need to leave for the airport at the front desk.

  I really wish I could give this property more stars The rooms are outdated. A very lousy staff, especially via woman at night. Who is occupied with everything else? And way too busy with their own agendas to even greet people Properly or be nice I will be taking my business elsewhere after this

  The only reason we stayed here because of the proximity to the airport The heater was not working in the room and her highness, the front desk staff in the evening with the glasses, was way too busy on her phone to bother, helping the customers. She kept rolling her eyes when I asked her if there was another room and it made a comment about the heater not working. It’s like she didn’t care and there was an issue with the bathroom still being filthy when we checked in it was suggested at one point during the conversation that we just stay somewhere else Judging by the reply of the Holiday Inn management, they’re clearly tonedeaf it’s more than just the hotel, it’s their staff But I guess they’re not gonna do anything because they gotta meet their DEI requirements

  Paid for a night at the hotel with an 8 day parking package with Qwik Park through Park Sleep Fly. Checked into the hotel, paid the remainder of my balance, and was told to sign a clipboard confirming I had the parking package by the front desk employee. We went on vacation without any problems. Returned and we couldn’t leave the Qwik Park without paying $90 because the employee working the hotel front desk at check-in failed to give us our parking voucher. I had a digital receipt that I paid for a night and an 8 day parking pass, I needed the voucher per Qwik Park policy. Determined to not have to pay again, I walked to the hotel and explained my problem to the front desk employee (different from check-in) and she pulled up the same clipboard I signed upon check-in. She flipped to the sheet I signed and said,” I’m sorry but you signed this verifying you received your parking voucher (I was told my signature was confirming that I had the parking package NOT the parking voucher). I can’t verify if you did or didn’t receive a voucher and I can’t give you a new one per hotel policy.” So I had no other option but to pay the $90 so I could leave the lot with my vehicle. Long story short, I paid twice for parking all because someone can’t do their job. Also the blinds in our room were broke and the side lamps were dusty.
